Detroit has lost a lot of defenseman this offseason, leaving an obvious hole, and now they want to fill it with Semin....again, intersesting. Not that there's anything wrong with that...i think?

1. the price is reasonable (5-6 mil)
2. we're not saving the cap space for a trade. |

He just always needs short term contracts, so he doesn't get comfortable. Once he gets comfortable he'll get lazy and you'll be stuck with an albatross of a contract that no one wants. |
