I wish I could find my own posts - I'm pretty confident I ripped Toskala a new one (darn, maybe it was my fault - I ripped him another five hole!).

I could have picked at least a dozen of the godfather's posts - he absolutely oozed with the confidence and naivety of a 14-year-old.

He was ranting and raving about how Toronto had a better defensive corps than anyone, including Chicago.

You know where i was fooled? Thinking the Leafs may actually trot out an all kid line of Bozak, Kadri and Stalberg. It never happened. Like I said, i just don't care anymore if we do well or stink. I'm a Leaf fan, but one that expects nothing. I'm even expecting that the next deal Burkey makes will just make me more apathetic.

But I got my new knight in shining armour, one I'm ready to dump a whole poopload of expectations on. He's my avatar

i'm not gonna quote the entire post or say who wrote this (don't need to be dragged into a flame war) but this put a smile on my face:

Is there not an obvious consideration involving Getzlaf and Perry?

They are now in the last year of their contracts. They are both eligible to do new long term deals right now, today.

We expect that new CBA is going to put stricter limitations on the length of contracts.

You have to know the agents of Getzlaf and Perry are pushing for extension deals this summer (a la Crosby).

Do you think the floating of Getzlaf and Perry as possible trade options is nothing more than a negotiation tactic by Murray?

Every so often, I'll post a three or four team deal, where basically two or three superstars from each team move. Toronto ends up with two superstars, but doesn't actually give up a single thing. But I write it just as where the players end up, not from where they came from.

Funny thing is you'll get a few people who will seriously look at the deal and make comments, before they catch on.
