I'm good with the news from Mr. Staple....there isn't really anyone left worth buying, especially if they're asking for a lot of money, which goes without saying (like I said, Kostitsyn would have to be nearly free of charge, other than incentives, for it to be worth it). As for a trade, let's face it- if there was something worth doing, it would probably have happened already.

If you are a die hard Islanders fan, you have to know this team doesn't make big moves.

For those who think the Islanders have a chance to sign a player like Semin, Don't hold your breath. And for those who get upset that they never do, stop being a fan of the team.

I've learned 2 years ago, it's not worth the aggravation. I bleed Orange and Blue. So I take the team for what it is and hope for the best. And I truly believe if they can stay reasonably healthy, they will be fun to watch. Maybe even fight for a playoff spot.

Once their lease is up and we have a clearer vision of their future, we will start to see some exciting moves. I just hope it's still in the New York area.

Getting Komi lets us keep one of Donovan or deHann in BP.

just pointing out really one of the only scenarios i can see to get us where we need to be, unless he is going to try & sign a RFA... which i dont see happening. not trying to destroy a friendship!!

I give a rats ass what they want to tell me?? He's not working out there.. yha that happens. He didnt suck for a decade in NJ. And since Garth has inquired about Gomez multiple times over the last couple years... its not beyond the realm of possibilities he cures 2 of the teams needs.. Salary & a second line center

At this point Donovan or DeHaan should not be rushed. There not 18. It makes no sense to have guys like Gomez or Komi block young guys for this year or next. Isles should make an impact move or close or nothing. Just adding any player does nothing.
