That was a good move. At the same time not a huge move. The guy is 35 in the last year of his deal. I think a lot of us would like to see somebody come here who is in the prime of his career instead of the end. A lot harder then it sounds but not impossible..

Staple reported the Islanders are done and happy going into the start of the season. So I am trying to think what exactly is different this year than last that makes Snow happy about our team. We lost Parenteau, Montoya and a few spare parts and we repalced them with Boyes and Carkner who is a 6th/7th defenseman with size.

How exactly can Snow be happy with this considering we were 28th in offense and 27th in Defense.

This is why this team sucks and will continue to suck. Snowang wants this team to lose so he can sell/move it and it is disgusting.

Staple is pretty reliable. If Snow is the same person he was 5 years ago then yes I can believe he is done. Really scary because that means both Donovan and DeHaan will get thrown on the team whether they are ready or not.

Where did you see this? If thats the case we might as well see who the top two draft picks are and start reading about them.

I saw it on IPB. Like we did not see this coming. Garth worked about an hour this summer he's tired and has to rest up for next year's lottery like the other coward GM's like Tambellini.

Dude im sorry... its just so daunting a task.. you cant make people see what they cant. You cant make a negative person positive. In a couple seasons when these prospects have made their way to the big club & are contributing, the team is winning more then losing.. These peopl will be visiting their chiropractor weekly from patting themselves on the back about how they stood by the team through thick & thin. They will be talking about how they knew this prospect & that prospect were something special!!

Amen. I'm not sure how anyone can be happy with this team right now. Snow gets no credit building the prospects up when you are in the lottery every year and you never make a trade you better have the prospects built up. To me I give Jano the most credit for drafting these guys. Most GM's have no clue about these guys.

It's a great idea to build through the draft it has worked in the past and works now, especially with the cap. With that said you can't build solely through the draft. You have to trade/sign players to improve your team. You can't sontinue to sign has beens ot journey men and hope for the best. How many more times do we need to prove this point? The signings during free agency were decent but no where near what this team needs to succeed. Not even close. If Snow signs his name off on this team and says he's happy wwith it than he's a jack ass. Just don't say anything when you say something the fans will hold you to it. He has no problem not saying anything, he's proved that. Pandalfo is signed in the next few weeks. You can bet on that. More of the same BS. Another top five I'll go as far to say top two if nothing more is done.

Kostisyn would actually be a decent signing for right price. Skill wise he is better than pa. He can score 20-30 goals. He just lazy.


While semin has all the talent in the world he not worth the price.

Right building through the draft is fine what's not fine is not using trades or real FA's to move things along. What is also not fine is an owner who takes his ball and goes home and refuses to improve the team because he did not get a new building. Snow had a decent first day in FA but to stop now and think or even hint this is the team going into the season is madness.

Who said the price was too steep? Garth I'm afraid to trade Snow? If Garth or Steve Tambellini ever make an impact trade I know the world will end soon. Both guys should not be allowed to make another lottery pick until they get some stones to make a real trade.
