- the day before the trade was made, you thought the team which was dead last in the nhl in offense would make the playoffs??
- this is the 5th year my friend...
- fortune teller? - LetsGoIsles
Yeah, that's me. The fortune teller. A lot of people had the Kings picked for the Cup before the season even started. Quick was and is arguably the best Goalie in the NHL. They have talent on the blue line and up front so yes I did. It's not far fetched. What does this have anything to do with? Are you comparing the Kings to the Islanders? Bad comparison. |

But still some will say what a great job and how amazing this team is. That boggles the mind. Guys we are stick with this type of team untila t least 2015 so I guess we should get used it.
Lets pray Boyes returns to old form. Lets pray DP gets injured again. Lets pray Grabner finds the net again. Lets pray that Bailey actually plays the game when he is on the ice. There is going to be a lot of praying and well If this is this roster then it is goign to be one of those years again.
In that case dump half the team bring every prospect and lets see what we got going forward. I am sure the prospects are just as good as our roster anyway - kasperrko
With all this praying the should get rid of sparky and bring in a priest as the new mascot |

A-..friggin..Men..I truly don't get it. Why come on here everyday to just sht all over the team u are rooting for.. .I understand the idea of venting when something you wanted to happen doesn't but to come on and just dump all over your own team seems pointless to me.
We had a guy in the top 10 in NHL in points last year. He is 21 years old and this is the first time the Isles have had a guy in top 10 since Yashin... This is a pretty good sign.
We had another guy on his wing score 30 goals for the 3rd consecutive year. That has not happened since Ziggy I believe... he is also in his 20's.. pretty good sign.
We have another group of young guys who lask consistency (which happens a lot with young players.. see Beruzzi, Chara, Loungo and every other young guy we quit on too soon that become super stars after they left.) .... but show flashes of what they can/will become in Bailey, Grabner, Okposo, Hamonic, Amack, Matt Martin.... a good sign.
We have prospects... very very good prospects that other teams would love to take off our GM's hands if he starts thinking like you guys .... Nino, Strome, Brock, Mayfield, Reinhart, Kabonov, Casey C., Ullstrom, etc. .. some may not pan out.. but some will.. period. .. a very good sign.
We have tons of cap room.... all our GUYS are locked up and we have boat loads of cap room. ... this too is a good sign. - niteislander
First off coming on here and discussing something that doesn't agree with your opinion is not female doging. Try to be more objective. Second to call our prospects very, very, very good is reaching. Who is very, very, very good? Maybe they will be but right now you can't say that. I think there are alot less GM's lining up to get Lee than you think. These kids are coin flips at best. Maybe Strome is a blue chip, maybe not even him. If these GM's are lining up to get these guys wouldn't Snow have pulled a trade off to get that second line center he was telling all the season ticket holders about, that we so desperately needed? Where is this player. What about another Dman? You don't think we could use that? |

Who said anything about giving away the prospects?
They've had tons of cap room for years now. What good is it if you don't use it? Snow needs to find a way to get creative and get JT some help. Its year 5 now and still not close to a playoff team if the season started tomorrow. At this pace it will take about 8 years for the rebuild and even then there is no guarantee that it will have worked. At some point the next step has to be taken. - Vukota
but its not starting tomorrow....if the season were starting tomorrow they would be SCREWED because a lot of these guys are on vacation...thats why there is an off season!! to make improvements...keep your hate till at least the preseason when the roster is finalize |

i dont want them to move either for the record. I enjoy watching them despite knowing the out come half the time. Winning cures everything though so I guess we shall see |

of course I don't want them to move but if they are going to field a team like this what's the sense of being a NY team...Wang needs to sell which means Snow is out... |

the question was CLEARLY stated before the trade was made when they were the worst offensive team in the nhl..... |

they are very good PROSPECTS....he said PROSPECTS....not going to be very good nhl players....youre look for the tiniest thing to blast but youre wrong (although you have been actually discussing more than normal). a prospect is something that may happen in the future. right now the isles have a lot of PROSPECTS that are PROJECTED to be very good. who says this??? ummmm just about EVERY NHL EXPERT SAYS THE ISLES HAVE TOP 5 PROSPECT POOL |

I think the thing is here is that until they play in the NHL we really dont know what we got. Like said before half of the prospects usually end up doing nothing |
