So do I...Seriously, I love the Leafs, I just don't see trading as a good option for them right now... - Flyfreaky
i agree, its not a good option, but its the only option. they can't play the same group as last year and the fat drunk bastard has to try and save his job |

SJ should not trade for Nash.
Pavelski and Couture should be their 1-2 center in the coming years after Joe T. I dont see why SJ needs Nash when it would cost them a valuable center in return.
SJ should go after Weber haha. They need defense not scoring. |

Well, the big problem is gonna be trading to stay the same as last year...You'll get a good player or two and lose a good player or two...It's a win/lose... |

It's funny you think with a great player like Nash, fans would salivate over getting a great power forward, but everyone for the most part is being rational about not throwing the kitchen sink to make a splash. |

That's what I've been saying all along. Pavelski and Couture as it is are better players than Nash. They also happen to be younger and cheaper. Why should we give up one of them, plus Niemi, and prospects? It doesn't make sense but I fear DW is close to pulling the trigger.
Now, if we could get Weber I'd be ecstatic but nothing would surprise me more than that. I'd like to see us ship out Boyle to Pittsburgh or something, and then make a big offer sheet to Weber. |

I think it stems from the fact that Nash hasn't been a dominant player for some time now. Plus the fact that the media reports of what Howson wants for him are absurd. And of course there is that ludicrous, disgusting contract. |

Do you think it's fair though that you can try and judge Nash's full talent when he's been stuck in CBJ? |

awesome. Back to back scoring titles and Henri was what 6 or 7 in scoring this past season. You are showing amazing hockey knowledge comparing the situation. - Bieksa#3
if the sedins had 100 point seasons, and now are PPG players, then yes, it would have been wise to "sell high" on them if you could get a return worth of 100 point players.
besides, you're not going to win a cup with the softest players in the league. no wonder you got your ass handed to you by the bruins and kings |

Yesterday Eklund said the leafs had a trade about 75% done. Could be done tonight or tomorrow.
Guess what! tomorrow is today. Where is this trade?

I completely agree, I'm just saying people go crazy over a big name and lose their rational and just say"I want". It's cool to see though that that isn't happening |

I don't see how San Jose gets Nash without giving up Couture.
Also for those saying Stastny to the Leafs I'm not sure what the Leafs could give the Avs for Stasny.
Here is hoping the Avs put a package together for Ryan! |

I'm relatively certain Nash is coming to SJ. And I can almost promise you that if/when he does, Couture will not be involved. Giving up Pavelski is bad enough. But on top of that Niemi will likely be involved as well as a prospect or pick.
As I've stated though, my fingers remain crossed that Nash goes to NY or Philly or something. |

Detroit should grab Semin(lol i said that on purpose)before anyone else as they aren't going to get Nash most likely. If SJ trades Niemi who are they relying on in goal Greiss? |

Yea Greiss would be the goalie. Unless DW has another blockbuster lined up shortly thereafter to get Luongo. Stalock is in the system, and between the pipes is about the only place that San Jose has a lot of depth in the farm. |
