The Leafs trade their 2nd round picks for the next 25 years for Getzlaf/Perry/Ryan. - As_I_See_It
Could you do that?? |

Komisarek for Kaberle
Then we bury Kaberle with the Marlies
PERFECT! - billyberg10
Couldnt Kaberle be traded back to the Bruins at the deadline? |

Now see that is not quite true at all. Sometimes someone may have an electric personality, and it well draws people towards them. Some good, some not, it's a crap shoot really depending on the day. Misunderstood is more like it. |

So Howson has asked for Skinner, Logan Couture and both Brayden Schenn and Sean Couturier
- Cfser
Someone has to to bring that guy back down to earth really. - Prolific_Scorer
A lot of people are calling Howson an idiot and it's unjustified. People forget that before this Nash situation was started, Howson was highly regarded as a very bright, young, NHL executive. Nash pretty much demanded a trade and now Howson has to deal with it. Why shouldn't he keep the price as high as he can? As the days go by, the demand gets higher and the supply gets lower.
Everybody keeps saying that his price is too high but how can Howson possibly be an idiot for keeping the price as high as possible? In this situation, Howson is an idiot if he sets the bar too low. This is Rick Nash he has to trade. The only star player that franchise has ever seen. First ever draft pick, first ever franchise player, Rocket Richard winning, Team Canada caliber player. Why should he settle for less?
Skinner, Couture, Schenn and Couturier would all be fortunate to replicate what Nash has been able to accomplish in his career and it's exactly the type of player Howson needs to acquire if he wants to salvage anything from this situation. Think of what the Bruins got for Joe Thornton. Everything turned out smelling like roses in Boston but can Howson honestly afford to get less than maximum return on Nash? Absolutely not. |

If Burke doesn't get some goaltending help/ some solid vets on this team I will be very disappointed. It was so obvious how badly we needed this during our collapse. Phaneuf cannot carry the load himself. Burke better not forget our needs just because were not playing hockey right now. I'm tired of him hoping for a prayer, its not good enough. |

Like I said, not even a call to gauge if there is any interest in Doan's part. I don't understand that. Oh well... |

And if the agent is coming out to say that, you gotta wonder if the Leafs aren't a team he actually wants to play for.
Though it's more likely the agent just wants to get the Leafs in it to bump up the $$. - Feeling Glucky?
His agent was asked a question and answered it.
It's either Phoenix or out west for Doan.
Maybe Pitt for a year
more to come...
