Haven't you heard? JVR is our new #1 C and Bozak will be #2. Or something. |

Kadri plus a little extra seems like a decent trade to me. Without sending one of Reimer or Scrivens back though would create a log jam and require us to trade one eventually me thinks. - OBGYN Kenobi
Markstrom would still need time in the AHL because he only played 40 total games in the AHL last year. Plus, he's 22 and still adjusting to the North American game. So, he would instantly become the starter for the Marlies while Reimer and Scrivens would play with the Leafs. Acquiring Markstrom is more of an investment in the future than it is an immediate improvement. Unless he beats one of the other two in camp which is also possible but less likely. |

Bah, and didn't Burke say he didn't want a goalie prospect, rather a legit starter or simply go with Reimer / Scrivens?

Yup. - Prolific_Scorer
Never been his biggest fan, but after all he went through (especially the death of his son) and still be able to perform at the level he is right now, he's proving that he's a dedicated, mature athlete. If I was a Leaf fan, I'd be happy to have a guy like him help Reimer/Scrivens grow into their starter role. |

I agree, ive always liked Theo, even with the all the habs bs etc. But to say he isnt capable to be a starter on a team, is well rather close minded, he still has the ability to be a starter in the NHL and do well. Or even be a backup that can come in and take the reigns if the number one goalie gets injured, he has proven it. He is no longer a superstar or hart winner but still. |

They'd have to send us their 1st round pick for next year. |
