And his potential is really, really high. Markstrom is one of the top goaltending prospects in the league. He's 22, 6'6 and has serious potential to be a brick wall like Lundqvist. And this is legit potential. Not the sell job Burke tried with Gustavsson. Just think of what the Leafs should have got for Rask. That's the kind of price tag this guy will most likely carry.

The Hart trophy winning Theodore no longer exists but if he could play behind the Capitals and the Panthers as a starter and make the playoffs, he can play behind the Canucks as a back-up.

Kadri plus a little extra seems like a decent trade to me. Without sending one of Reimer or Scrivens back though would create a log jam and require us to trade one eventually me thinks.

Theo is still capable of doing very well as a starter IMO on the right team. Not the goalie he was once hyped to be, but still effective.
