In Burke's vision, the players that are 'untradeable' are the ones that you cannot or very difficult find an upgrade for in their prospected role, taking into account the respective salary cap of the player..

So Kessel is 'untradeble', until a trade comes up to replace him with another first line sniper with a better upside at a lower salary (which is not very likely under the circumstances, since Kessel is one of the league's top snipers; this makes Kessel fairly 'untradeable' under BB's system).

3. Gunarsson

Indeed, only the leafs and their need of a #1 center would have interests in such a trade. There is simply no reason for the Avs to go in that direction. They dont need MacArthur and they certainly dont need your AHL'ers seeing how they have twice the prospect pool that the leafs have.

In a division that just got stronger with Parise and Suter, the Avalanche do not have a good enough reason to trade their depth at center. It's possibly the only advantage they have against their division rivals.
