$6.6M for 20G, 55pts.
Bozak and Mac get you close to that each for a fraction of the cost.
Gunnar is a steal and a half. Put him in another jersey and everybody will talk about how Leafs never should have let him go.
Franson's still a project with potential.
both have trade value as additions to a deal. - Big_Lightnin
So is gunnarson. And in bozak you got a 3rd line center, and an often injured 3rd line player in Mac, albeit not so much in TO as he played 82 and 73games respectively. |

The point is, 6.6 million is alot for a player playing 2nd line center, meanwhile the Avs already have a capable 2nd line centerman in Oreilly. |

Yeah, so obviously it will continue to infinity now wont it? Leafs win a few trades and all of a sudden every team in the league is standing in line to trade their top centers to the leafs for scrubs, makes a lot of sense. |

Lupul Bozak Kessel
JVR Grabbo Kadri
Mac/Connolly McC Kulemin
Brown Steckel Komarov
Frattin (IR)
Lombardi
Colborne
D'Amigo
Ashton
Way too many forwards.....something's gotta give - JIMI-JAMES
It would be nice to see Kadri get top-six minutes but odds are either MacArthur or Kulemin will be there. Colborne, Ashton and D'Amigo are AHL bound. That leaves Lombardi / Komarov / Brown as 4th liners or extra forwards with Lombardi getting sent to the Marlies if Frattin is healthy. |

I'm pretty sure everyone of Burkes trades outside of the Kessel trade, because we were pricing him based on potential, has worked out that way. Like I said, we're not acquiring a young projectable ppg player. We're looking to acquire a highly overpaid centerman at 6.6 million per year, one who could possibly be playing 3rd line center behind Duchesne, and Oreilly. Bouwmeester on the otherhand, a huge gamble, once again lowers his trade value, same goes for Stastny. |

IS that the fella the leafs got in the KHL? Is he coming over or is he under contract another year? |

Also, keep in mind where the team has finished after those massively one-sided trades. |

The Avs will need a 3rd line center... and Bozak's 3rd line center who can also play up to 2nd if needed.
MAc's been nothing but durable and pretty consistent with Leafs.
Gunnar's got less games in the league but I'd say you know what you're getting more. Franson's been slow developing. Gunnar hada few more years pro in Sweden
And either Gunnar or Franson would step right into Avs top 4.
If this isn't enough, it doesn't need much more. Kulemin instead of MacArthuer? a does he have more value? some would say yes, some would say no.
Stastny's not going to get the farm in return. If they trade him at all, it's because they want to move the salary. |

The point is, they are still not getting back a proper, and i do mean beneficial to them, not the leafs, replacement for the guys they are giving up. |

Before coming to the Leafs, Mac only ever missed 3 games from injury.
And he's a top-6 guy offensively, even this last year, dragging the corpse of Kulemin around. |

Now why do they lose one of their top 2 centers and replace him with Bozak? They would like to finish where the leafs did last year and not compete? And nobody is near as high on either Gunnar or Franson as leaf fans are. Not even remotely. - eihcnerf
Pay attention.
First off, Komisarek helps teams to reach the cap floor. That's extremely valuable in today's NHL.
Second, any deal would involve a 4th round draft pick. Now I'm not saying it would be the Leafs' 4th rounder, and I'm not saying it would be Colorado's 4th rounder. But the point is, it would be used to even out the deal. |

Here you go, we'll be more specific for you,
MacArthur
Bozak
Kadri
For
Stastny and his 6.6 million dollar contract. |

Well, that you can blame on Schenn, Komi, and Burke's refusal to address goaltending. |

Your argument basically translates into this:
Katie Holmes should have crazy sex with Atomic Wedgie, because she doesn't want to have sex with Tom Cruise anymore (if she ever did), now that she is divorcing him. |
