Still shocked Parise left you guys even after you made the cup. I guess "winning" wasn't everything for Zach. Money talks sometimes. - mighty13duck
Zach said a lot of political things so as to not alienate himself from the franchise. Checkmate usually happens when you don't see a move coming. I also thought a potential Stanley Cup might lure him to stay, but he wanted friends and family more. |

We signed Krys Barch to a 2 year deal. I hope he isnt plan B. When they finally went away from goons (Boulton and Janssen) we made it to the cup finals. Then we add this turd and resign Janssen. Yay. |

Wasn't the money. It was the hometown thing. His dad played in Minnesota, he was born there, etc. |

I don't get it. Last two times this doesn't work, at least sign a capable player like an Asham or Prust. |

So tired of hearing this. If he loves MN so much, why did he leave MN and go to college in North Dakota? The scenery? Also, if he loves MN so much why is it being widely reported that if Suter signed in Detroit, Parise would have come back? Why did he text Heatley numerous times to ask if they can win there? Was Heatley going to say "No, we suck. Sign in NJ"? He did alot of talking out of both sides of his mouth. If he just shut his trap and signed in MN I would be okay. He said he was talking to Suter all year about teaming up together. He said "My first priority is to work something out with NJ." What a load of hogwash. |

I don't feel any negativity towards him. He was obviously very stressed and torn between being loyal and his hometown team. With his dad playing in Minnesota, him being born there, it's hard to pass it up. |

Dude if it was such an easy decision he would've signed on July 1st. He obviously was torn, I would be more pissed if he signed right away because that means he wasnt considering the Devils. Of cours, Suteragreeing to sign there probably sealed the deal for him. He wants to know if Minnesota is going to win, why wouldn't he? |

By texting a guy that has been there for a season? He is the best source of knowledge if a team can win? He dragged things along to make it look better than it was. He was waiting for Suter to make his decision. Don't get me wrong, it was a hard decision for him, I am sure. But to say it was only because he is from MN, that is silly. |

I doubt he dragged it on for the hell of it. When it comes down to it, it was between Minnesota and NJ and Minnesota's history to him overrides his feelings of loyalty. |

He says that but why not notify Detroit and Pens they were out of it immediately? |

You consider allow your options. Pittsburgh had Crosby. You go onto free agency with your eyes open and you listen to everything narrow it down then decide. He heard from teams like Carolina and Winnipeg as well.
Bytheway, on my iPad, this poop sucks and the space bar doesn't always register. |

They didnt notify Pittsburgh they were out of it until about 15-20 minutes before the news of both signings came out. Same for Detroit. If it was truly Devils and Wild only, then why do that? I think some people are being a little naive about the whole situation. I am done with the guy. I only want people on the Devils that want to be there. |

Barch will provide bottom six depth among the forwards and Norton said Devils president Lou Lamoriello indicated to him that Barch could fit in on the fourth line as one or more of the Devils’ valuable fourth-liners during the postseason run - Stephen Gionta, Steve Bernier and Ryan Carter - could vie for a spot on the third line. Gionta, Bernier and Carter all recently re-signed with the Devils.
