Thornton & Marleau are start to get up there in age, but are also a lot tougher to trade than Clowe or Pavelski bc of their cap#
And bc they have enough talent to contend,
They are gonna ship ppl off And completely rebuild,
But they would likely want to get younger too

IMO if San Jose is making any deal, it will be Thornton or Marleu...Gotta think that Pavelski is the guy their gonna build around, with Couture.

Erat, Hornqvist, and Fisher are their best 3 weapons.

I don't mind Fischer at all.. but he won't be happy getting traded away from Carrie Underwood in nashville..

Erat is too old and not talented enough to be our vet presence up there...

Hornqvist could be an interesting Russian to bring in.. but I doubt they trade him as he is their best young offensive weapon..

They have Craig Smith and Colin Wilson who are both young centers who can also play wing very well..

They have a REALLY good D prospect by the name of Josi who just won I think it was European Dman of hte year.... might have been just Swedish.

Seems to me like it'd work nicely

As far as Pavelski goes,
He's not a "#1" IMO
But he is a lot like Bergeron...
25goals, and scores big ones... Good on faceoffs & solid defensively...
He could slot into a role much like Drury had with us,
Where he plays against top lines, but still has an offensive game too

If we could get Stewart AND Pavelski that'd be GREAT
Although, I still think we need another top4 defenseman too
