another way of looking at it.. if we take that off their hands.. it will allow them to bolster their line up by way of UFAs and trades.

I have 3 ducks jersey shirts, I have 2 The Replacements jersey shirts, i have a leonardo ninja turtle shirt, I have 3 Major League player jersey shirts, a Varsity Blues jersey shirt, the Jamacain Bobsled team shirt, and I'm sure I am forgetting some..

I will say that after a 1.5 to 2 years of regular wearing and washing of the shirts that the logos/numbers start to fade and crack.

I agree with that it doesn't send the best message if they did it after 1 year..

but at some point after 2-3 years of this kind of production other players around the league have to start the mindset of "well he doesn't produce.. and if you don't do your job right you are fired or demoted.. thats just the way the working world is"

I just know that he has 9 more years at 9.5M and the history of great goal scorers in the NHL do not start trending upwards after they turn 26. I do think he has 2 or 3 more seasons in him approaching 50 goals.
