Myers is still looked on as a potential top end defenseman. Plus he's already signed long term, unlike Weber, which is why Nashville would deal him in the first place. He probably has the most trade value on this team. If Weber came here, Nashville would almost definitely want Myers coming back the other way, and then some.

If Darcy Regier all of a sudden decided that he was "shopping" Tyler Myers, 29 other teams would be calling his cell phone. He has a hell of a lot more value than Komisarek.

I think Minnesota just made themselves a hell of a lot better of a team... but if you look at their d-corps.... they are in trouble.. they only have 2M left in cap space or so. and gilbert and Suter are their only above average D-men.

Shea Weber is never coming to Buffalo anyway. And with Myers progression trending down, GMs are only going to have more reservations with him.

I really don't like it that Alex Hemsky is "available" and we are in the market... another overpaid/underachieving guy...

I think Semin is our last ace in the hole incase Ryan or whoever falls through.

If we were to sign Semin to anything under 4M a year and then maybe trade sekera for Chris Stewart... I would be more than satisfied with our upgrades going into next season.

Some teams are pretty desperate for players..... look at some of the contracts handed out in the last week... Carle, Wideman, Jagr, Garrisson, Parenteau, Kuba, the trade for Lindback are all pretty obvious..

you might even be able to mention Olli at 4.5M as desperate.

The market is there.. most team's fans over value their talent.. but I think we under value some of ours in ways...
