I have to agree with your assessment, but I care not that they went to a Western Conference team. Had they gone to Chicago or Detroit, I might have raised a brow; however, I don't see Minnesota doing anything different with them on the roster. Minnesota peaks at the 9 spot in the West. They still aren't better than Vancouver. Edmonton is flashier and much faster, and I think Colorado will make more waves than Minnesota. They'll be better than the Flames, and that's as far as I will go. Mind you, that's not taking into consideration the other two divisions.

Wild is a contender now! They just need a few more years for there prospects to develop until there championship ready, when Dumba Granlund Phillips and Coyle are ready this is going to be a championship worthy team... And Parise is getting the C sooner then later, with Suter with the A.... Dumba is going to be a beast with Suter and i hope they let him play this year. Phillips and Coyle should take a year in the AHL being called up once in a while and Granlund should play big top six minutes.

No chance Flames are picking high this upcoming year if they keep their captain and starting goalie. Not to say that they would tank if there were moved, but those two guys have been keeping this group around a playoff team.
