After what Suter just did to Nashville and with more of the same on the horizon next Summer with Weber, the Preds almost have to trade him in order to get something of value. I would love to think that Weber would want to be a Pred for life, but guys just don't do that anymore. Poile is in a bad spot for sure. Sucks for Preds fans.

If the new CBA limits front-loaded long term deals is 2013 then a less desirable year to make bank?

If they trade him, can his new team sign him to a long term extension prior to the start of the new CBA? Pardon my ignorance if that is a dumb question.

Pavelski! I think Darcy deals with San Jose? Everyone is looking at Stastny, Ryan and Nash.

Myers straight up for Nash, and I would listen. Bobby Ryan is a very good player, but I still feel that Nash is much more dynamic. As far as Buffalo not being on Nash's list, I'm sure Terry Pegula could change that if he needed to.

As far as Myers goes, I do think he'll eventually turn into that dominant defenseman. It's going to take a while. Remember, Ottawa walked away from Chara because Buffalo victimized him in the 2006 playoffs. He didn't become the dominant defenseman until well into his contract with Boston.
