since 'Wedgie' is already in the realm of nicknames, hockey players would still have to change it up. Perhaps 'Wedger or Wedges' ? - Barx
or red leader (i believe thats what wedge was when he piloted the x wing fighter in starwars hahah) |

the media "experts" have decided it's Allaire's style of coaching that ruined Reimer and Gustavson. He takes all the athleticism out of their game. - Big_Lightnin
Personally, I would have liked to have seen a little less athleticism out of Gustavsson last year.
That guy was always out of position and flying around in his crease. When he moved laterally, he tended to move too far.
There were times when you just felt like screaming "Stay still!" at him. |

Can you post a few? - Flyfreaky
The guy tweets non stop, have to go far back to find them.
He is a big Gustavsson fan, as soon as he signed with the Wings it was non stop, Fire Burke, With Gus, the wings are stacked, just give them the cup. Howard won't see the the net now, Gus will shoutout the Leafs 6-0 in the winter classic. Leafs have no one as good as Gustavsson in the system. On and on and on. |

Very many nice words, but it's a b*tch blogging for the Flames... - Flyfreaky
"very many nice words" is the down low?
and not really...its a challenge because of how much hate the team is getting, when most people havnt taken the time to really assess the team and the likely direction they are heading in....Feaster is still very new to the team and any of his work so far has yet to show...
This summer will be a big indicator of what to expect, but I dont anticipate him going after any more "vets" for a playoff push. He is trying to replace some current vets with better, slightly younger/more talented ones....Im hoping he brings in more youth through trades though....thats the biggest need for the team. |

As nice as it was for Gus to play like a competent NHL goalie for us in January (which gets overblown by some people as "bailing us out"), I put a good chunk of the blame on him for costing us the playoffs.
Off the top of my head, I can think of 6 points we lost just because of him, and there are probably 10-12 in total. |

I have no idea what this actually means (aside from the fact that it is factually incorrect - the Stanley Cup was first donated in 1892), but you should know that the Leafs have won the Stanley Cup in a league with more than 6 teams. - Atomic Wedgie
There were 10 teams back before the depression. NHL wasn't the NHL before 1917. The trophy used to go to the winner of the NHA, PCHA, WCHL prior to that.
The NHL was formed to get away from Toronto's original owner. LOL People hated Ballard and the teachers, but not enough to disolve the league structure and start another. Guess we've always had Toronto hockey haters. |

No, lol. I unfollowed him. I thought you two were chums. - Brian Huddle
Oh no, you know what he said yesterday, the Leafs could have gotten Hodgson with Kulemin easily, they would have taken that trade in a heartbeat. I said, you are aware that the Canucks were looking for a young PF with grit, that can mix it up, where is our Kassian in the system, he said I was an apologist for Burke. He wants all the big name players to trade for, I said you need prospect depth first before you can even attempt that, again he said I'm making excuses for Burke. |

It was well written, just not lots of depth, but you can't build Rome in a day...Anyway, Feaster already fearful of fan backlash from recent signings: “The perception is that the front office is too full of Americans, and behind the bench now is too full of French Canadians, and now we’ll get accused that the top two lines have too many Czechs.” |
