Unless we implement a trap style D, Reimer or Scrivens have career years and transform into amazing talent during the off season, Kessel and Lupul repeat their success, AND JVR hits it off with new linemates, I don't see us moving up the standings

detroits been building through the draft for 20 years
pens, carolina, tampa.... pretty much every single team thats won the cup get most their core by drafting, then bring in players to surround them via UFA and trades
