cept burke denied Cammalleri coming to TO before he did the Kessel trade..

Here's two trades that IMO, make sense for both teams:

MacArthur for Halak: we get a 1a/b goaltending tandem, St. Louis gets a defensively responsible feisty winger who can put up ~50 points.

Lupul for Stastny: we get a #1 two-way, playmaking center/make room for JVR, Kadri, etc., they get a #1 LW to play with O'Reilly or Duschene.

my 2 cents, at this point, i think Grabovski brings more to the table than stastny, that being said, i think stastny is an upgrade over bozak, but only if the price is reasonable.

On a serious note, if I remember well, Burke preferred to sign Kessel and Komisarek over Cammalleri, but it wasn't that he did not like Cammalleri...

The more I think about Marleau, the more I like it as long as we're not paying out the ass to get him. Won't be cheap I know, but won't be half of what Getzlaf would cost either.

Marleau isn't a playmaker, but Kessel can be. I think it's a great fit. Wish he was 28, but what the hell - he's got 3 good years left I'd say.
