Here's two trades that IMO, make sense for both teams:
MacArthur for Halak: we get a 1a/b goaltending tandem, St. Louis gets a defensively responsible feisty winger who can put up ~50 points.
Lupul for Stastny: we get a #1 two-way, playmaking center/make room for JVR, Kadri, etc., they get a #1 LW to play with O'Reilly or Duschene.

Halak is not going anywhere.
Trading Lupul for a small center...doesn't fix a damn thing....such a toddler move. |

Andrej Sekera has SICK trade value.
He is now the ONLY puck moving defenseman that may be available in the entire universe. His 18 points last year will amaze and dazzle you.
The Leafs have no PMD and no prospects to trade.
They might as well relegate the Leafs team to the QMJHL. |

how about trying to pry backstrom from minnesota? they have harding.
backstrom is 1 year @ 6 mil if im not mistaken...
id imagine the asking price wouldnt be huge, considering they just spent all their money on parise/suter. |

Backstrom would certainly be a good idea for teams looking for a goalie...however Id hazzard to say Minny wont be making too many other moves now until maybe closer to the deadline for last minute improvements.... |
