seriously tho...I walked around the neighbourhoods, got into crap, built forts etc etc and now kids are being glued to TVs with games etc, told not to disturb ppl by building tree forts or w.e....and god KNOWS what that guy across your street in the minivan marked "free candy" is doing!!

Translation: I just read a tweet from Dreger that TBL were closing in on a deal with Carle. I'll just pick a pretty reasonable number and add the qualifier "in around" to cover my bases. Piggy backing off of somebody else for credibility? Done.

And we already have a RW who can score. If we're moving major assets, we need a center.

I'm wondering if we can pry Halak from St. Louis. That to me makes more sense than Luongo: decent contract, young, proven in playoffs, gives us a solid 1A/1B tandem.

Makes sense for us, but makes 0 sense for the Blues. Seriously. Like we may as well trade for Elliot, which would be horrendous. And therefore why would St. Louis keep him as their #1? Plus, for Halak we would have to give up more than a 1st and 1st round prospect (Colborne). I don't understand where these Halak rumors have come from aside from a Leafs fans pipe dream. There is no way STL is trading their #1 goaltender. Just watch this years playoffs, Elliot is not who the want in net, but he's a very good back up.

Big contract tho, you are right that it sounds about right for not quite what we need. But I bet if it goes down it'll be another steal for Burke just for taking on the contract.
