I don't recall seeing this, but for all the Kessel haters (and the idiot trolls coming out of nowhere last couple of days), Kessel ranked 16th of 50 NHLers, as voted by the players. Ahead of none other than Parise, Kane, Nash, Doughty, Brad Richards, etc. etc.

Shhhh. You're ruining the hilarious Seguin jokes that totally didn't get old and unfunny two years ago. |

Well? Four days into Free Agent Frenzy, I see that Burke is still asleep at the switch. Other teams keep adding to their roster, while we sit stagnant. Is this how it's going to be, going forward? The Leafs slumber while other teams advance. I guess picking in the bottom 3 will have it's advantage. Maybe then, we will finally get an A1 Center. Not going to happen under Burkes watch, by the look of it. Just say no to Luongo! |

Yes, because the answer to all of our prayers could've been answered on July 1st. If only Burke wasn't at the parade. Yeah, the parade: that's the reason why there was nothing worth spending ridiculous term and cap on. |

I wouldn't trade that for Nash...mainly because I would just make the 2013 1st a completely untouchable, unmoveable assest...just cuz, the Leafs keep finishing low - Zezel
With Nash, Stastny, and Kessel on your top line and Mr. Regular Season, Bobby Lu, in net, there's no way you'd finish with fewer than 95 points. |

If we were a cap floor team, I could see this argument, but we're the team that makes revenue sharing work, by having the highest ticket prices in all of North American Sports. The market is the market. If it was gold, or oil futures, the price is the price. The way Burke is looking at it, he wants to turn the clock backwards and sign players to contract worth, from around 2007. That's why no-one wants to sign in Toronto. Too bad, we're all suckers for watching this crap, year after year. |

I see your point dude but if I was Burke I'd just mentally put the next two firsts in the vault and draft them, Leafs have been burned on this one too many times now..just my hunch, I'd hold cards and keep collecting them for a bit |

Only a trade is realistic at this point...or signing Matt Carle or something. |

Time to do a bit of research, because clearly Burke did: Suter and Parise didn't sign because no one would match that contract offer, they signed because they both wanted to play in Minnesota.
This may be news to you but Burke doesn't have a time machine to change the place of birth of both Parise and Suter's wife. |

Both Burke and Poulin have said that because UFA has become such a poop show, trade chatter is higher than they've experienced in years.
We'll see some bodies moved before September. Plenty of summer left. |

TOR UPDATE: #Sharks CLEARLY trying to make room for Rick Nash. I'm told Brian Burke has made ENORMOUS progress to acquire C Patrick Marleau. |

I'd like Marleau. He would be a good fit, and allow Colbourne and Kadri to slowley develop the right way....what a concept |

With confidence and the right coaching Kadri could play the wing next season. Not sure if it will happen in Toronto, but he is going to be a good player. |
