Problem is: If you follow a trend, the league is already keeping up to it.
Butterfly style has been around for some time. It plays the percentages of blocking key areas within the net, putting the onus on the shooter to make the shot. Thing is the shooters have been trained since kids now for top corner and five hole. The goaltending style has been incorporated in to the training of all young players. Unless you have a huge body between the pipes, you need to hit them with something unpredictable like a hybrid or reactionary style.
You don't buy Lacoste when it hits Biway, You move on to the next trend. (If you're not old enough to understand the comment) = Lacoste was big in the 70's and then it fell off to discount stores below Walmart and Winners standards. Nobody wanted Lacoste in the 80's and the brand was only revitalized by That 70's show, to be a leading style again. The butterfly is Lacoste - stevecarpetman
shh, the kids think Lacoste is NEW! hence all the collar-popping Douches wearing it the last couple years

Weber stunk when Suter was out of the lineup (hurt) last season. Though, this opens the door for Ryan Ellis in Nashville. This may or may not support my case that Suter is better than Weber, but there's gotta be a reason he gets more minutes then Shea.
And Suter was byfar the U.S's best d-man at the Olympics.
I guess it's kind of like comparing Neidermayer and Pronger. - mykokes
Yeah true.
Don't get me wrong, by no means am I saying Suter is no good...I just don't think he's worth that money/term. |

A) Lacoste never hit Biway.
B) I always preferred the nickname "Black and White Boutique."
Although in my high school, a wicked insult was calling someone a "Biway Prep."
Oh, man, it still stings. |

No, but I also hardly believe it's fair to mention them given the ultra terribleness of their past 6 years.
And the fact that soon they will be a destination point once they start winning.
Although...in this day and age Edmonton (the city itself) will always be a tough sell. |

$98 million over 13 years deals for both Suter and Parise, mula, mula. - LeafMan
98 million for a dman who's never scored more than 50 pts in a season and who benefited from playing with Weber seems a bit steep. |
