Lesson of the day is to never trust stupid anonymous hockey "insiders". Especially on the internet (mostly twitter). Theres a reason why these people don't reveal their identity. - dionschenn
how about that hockeyyinsiderr guy who said days ago Parise to Penguins DONE/CONFIRMED just working out some details but done.
wouldn't it be cool to drop two elite talents onto the Leaf roster.....oh, but wait.....those contracts are too long.
Let's just roll with Lombardi and Komisarek.

But then the Leafs couldnt get guys like Luongo for peanut shells because of poorly signed contracts! - noename09
I dunno if I'd ever give up Komisarek for him....that's a 10 year contract from Luongo and it's obvious he is going to play out every single last year of that contract.
I've got no problem with Allaire. If he gives us another Giguere, I'm happy.
Let's not forget that for a period of about 5-6 years, Giggy was one of the league's best goalies. Without injury problems, he's still a damn good goalie to this day. His work in Colorado last year was impressive. - Leeman4Gilmour
Problem is: If you follow a trend, the league is already keeping up to it.
Butterfly style has been around for some time. It plays the percentages of blocking key areas within the net, putting the onus on the shooter to make the shot. Thing is the shooters have been trained since kids now for top corner and five hole. The goaltending style has been incorporated in to the training of all young players. Unless you have a huge body between the pipes, you need to hit them with something unpredictable like a hybrid or reactionary style.
You don't buy Lacoste when it hits Biway, You move on to the next trend. (If you're not old enough to understand the comment) = Lacoste was big in the 70's and then it fell off to discount stores below Walmart and Winners standards. Nobody wanted Lacoste in the 80's and the brand was only revitalized by That 70's show, to be a leading style again. The butterfly is Lacoste

Still firmly believe Suter is waaaaaaay over-hyped. Let's see how he does without Weber. - Juice
Weber stunk when Suter was out of the lineup (hurt) last season. Though, this opens the door for Ryan Ellis in Nashville. This may or may not support my case that Suter is better than Weber, but there's gotta be a reason he gets more minutes then Shea.
And Suter was byfar the U.S's best d-man at the Olympics.
I guess it's kind of like comparing Neidermayer and Pronger.

I wonder if it was that sweet sweet tour of Flint Michigan that broke the deal with Parise and Suter signing in Detroit....surprising...it's a beautiful place.
