I didn't say anything about the Wild GM. And I could care less what his grade is.

I posted after the big trades last yr that the flyers needed to get out in front of needing a young dman who could be a top pairing guy. thought we could consider flipping a young guy for that plyr...

now we have an even greater need while having less assets to obtain that plyr. the idea that all of these guys who project to be UFAs will actually be available is a bit of a pipedream. this is one of the reasons I was upset w/ the JVR trade...because we backfilled on d instead of being willing to move schenn and maybe get a guy who projects higher like pk, bogo, et al. of course we can't say for sure that we could have obtained that type of plyr, but it does appear that schenn was pretty much untouchable...

Kudos to Holmgren for not panicking after losing out on Parise and Suter.

Moving on from Carle was the right move. I salute you. Don't overpay for players with a ton of weaknesses!
