I am good with what is going on, I trust what Homer is doing. As of now Pitt lost Staal, Sullivan, and Michalek. New Jersey just lost Parise, I think the Flyers still have alot of firepower even when JVR and Jagr left. I think the Pens might be hurting more than we are.

I don't know anything more then you do. Were both just speculating here. It doesn't defy common sense. Holmgren cares about the Flyers. It wouldn't be total chaos. A player agrees to sign or doesn't sign. That simple. It's a negotiation. I'm quite sure that because they both signed in Minnesota, that neither Suter or Parise would've agreed to sign unless they other player was going to be signed there also. That's what an Agent is for. Shanahan is involved with player safety, and he has nothing to do with it.

Gervais is better offensively than Lilja or Walker, and more of a proven commodity than MAB or Gus. He's a decent 6th guy, with OK size and a good shot from the point.

He's definitely better in terms of moving the puck and offensively. He's got a pretty good shot. The key is, to limit his ice time. Keep him around 15-17 minutes a night, and he will be fine as a sixth guy.
