Flyers offer the most money for both top UFA's and get shutout. WOW!
Holmgren played like a fiddle. - PLindbergh31

He flat out KO'ed Eric Brewer. Simms is only 185ish, Brewer 6'3 230ish - KINGKENZO
He's definitely an exceptional fighter, but Hartnell has the deeper resume. I can't say just because this guy came in and had a good season in the fisticuffs that he's automatically tougher than the guy who's been doing here for us on a regular basis. I'm more worried about actual hockey production than the extra-curricular stuff. |

they tell him to shoot more because he's not yet a natural scorer and his shot is erratic. his big improvement last yr was his committement. - isaiah520
His shot isn't erratic. He's more of a playmaker then a sniper. I think that the talk of Voracek lacking a work ethic was BS. |

I didn't say he wasn't tough, just that he's got a ways to go before he's tougher than Hartnell in my book. Being a good puncher is one thing, being able to throw your body around the way Hartnell does year after year game after game and average in the mid to upper 20's of goal scoring is pretty tough imo. Simmonds has a ways to go before I see him that tough in my book. |

The Season is over Crims! They signed Leighton, haven't gotten anyone else. And Holmgren was played as a fiddle. We might as well become fans of another team. |

I love Harts. Have been a big supporter of his for years, didnt just start because he was scoring goals this year. He does things for this team that no one else can, including Sims. He answers the bell against anyone and, more importantly, sticks up for his teammates at all times. I'm not choosing who is tougher between Harts and Sims just wanted to give Sims some cred. |

And Helene Elliot also knew more then I did last off season, according to you. Here's what I know. Take what the media says with a grain of salt, and not what they say as fact. |

Carle must have played hard ball will Homer given Suter was never interested in going to an Eastern team. My assumption is he is gone as well or they would have come to an agreement on July 1st before the bidding war began |

Simmonds is definitely up there. If anything I think he's capable of replacing Hartnell when and if that day comes. Just saying right now... |

I think we can all agree that Jake made some strides this year, whether he was lazy before or not. Probably was though |

Helene Elliot is clueless. She was dead wrong about Lilja. And so was anyone who believed her. Voracek showed zero signs last year of having a work ethic issue. I'd like to see exactly what Voracek said. I'm smart enough to know that everything the media says isn't gospel.

Carle saw Wideman get 5 years and a full NMC and said, wait, I'm better than him. Then he realized that when Suter signed, he'd be the best UFA defenseman on the market. |

This is worse than what NJ got penalized for:
Parise & Suter Contracts:: $9.78 Million avg. in 1st 9 years. $9.4 avg. over 10 years. $4 Million total during last 3 yrs. $7.54 Total AAV |
