Original version. Coppola got too cute with the redux. Get it tomorrow, Martin Sheen is phenomonal. Brando, Bobby DuVall in smaller roles but very memorable. Lot of other great acting in it too. Love it, just thought the redux was pointless. - B2B76
Alright, loved Sheen in The Departed and he did a great job in the new The Amazing Spider Man too.
Other than The Godfather and one Eastwood Western, I haven't seen DuVall in any other roles. |

Would you guys make this trade?
Personally, it would be tough, but I would do it? - Pete V
Unless you have something in the works for a 2nd line center, you cant. Ive said before, unless Torts is prepared to give Kreider a bigger role as the 2nd line center, I dont see it happening..... or if Sather is working a second trade at the same time. |

I understand it's a tough decision, but that is actually not an unreasonable price to pay for Nash. I do agree, it would require another trade, but in the end, I think it is easier to find a second line center, than it is to acquire an impact first line player like Nash. |

Nope. Better yet. No franking way. I agree with what's been said about creating a hole by filling another. Nash can stay in Columbus and guide them to nowhere for all I care. Depth is what will win you a cup, most certainly depth down the middle. If Boyle is anything but our fourth line center, I'm sorry but I just don't think this team is deep enough. |

I find it hard to believe he could be had for just Dubi, Stepan and a 1st. That sounds like more of a package it would take to acquire Keith Yandle. |

I think I would. I know I have been saying all along you don't trade at top 6 forward to get another, but if you can keep your entire prospect pool and all your young D, maybe you should do it. Will allow you the assets to make another trade to if needed be. |

I would, watch my and Kody's boy fit into the 2nd line role if he's not jerked around and moved from this line to that line!

You got to make that deal, if that's true. I can't believe we wouldn't be ble to find a serviceable 2nd line center somewhere down the road in either another trade or something else creative.

Having Anisimov there worries me, he is not good on face offs, and he can be a liability defensively. |

i wouldn't say anisimov is a defensive liability. i actually think he's a good defensive center....but that's the problem. he's a good defensive center and i don't know if he can create enough offense for the 2nd line.
i hate the idea of trading stepan. he's such a young talented player that has sooo much potential, but if the trade really is dubinsky + stepan + 1st for nash then it's hard to say no.
at the same time, i think dubi will rebound to 20+ goals and stepan will hopefully improve his numbers so maybe it's not worth it.
the problem i have with trading stepan is that when richards starts to decline in 3-4 years, we have no one besides stepan with the potential of taking over that first line centering role. |

Yeah not a (frank)ing chance Anisimov is weak defensively. |

They could still sign Doan too. If they get him on a 2 or 3 year deal worth $5 million a season, add Nash while subtracting Dubi the Rangers would still be left with roughly $8 million in cap space. Of course that doesn't include MDZ and Stralman's deal. |

i'd like the lineup. maybe miller/thomas cracks the lineup if they aren't traded for nash.
does anyone have any updates on thomas? like does he have a chance of making the team or is he still a year away? |

Torts mentioned him by name as a player he wanted to see more of so I would guess he could make the team with a strong camp. |

Serviceable centers don't win Cups.
Look at the depth the past few Cup winners have had down the middle in recent years.
We need strong centers, nay, great centers to even compete down the stretch in the East and have a chance at glory.
Stepan could put up 65-70 points next season. I don't want to trade a guy in his young 20's that is that talented.
I'd rather give up Miller who projects to be more of a 40-50 point guy. |

That doesn't seem like it's enough to get it done. It would seem Columbus and Anaheim are both insisting on Stepan. |

Then eff them in the ear.
Let Howson twist in the wind. He's completely screwed. Every team knows it so there will either be one team willing to overpay and, if that's the case, I don't want it to be us. Or his price will come down. Or Nash can rot in Columbus.
I think MDZ or Dubinsky, Miller and a 1st are plenty. |

You would really give up Stepan? You're such a big defender of keeping the youth. |
