Yeah, with 263 homicides already this year, Chicago is a destination of choice to live. Play hockey? Sure. Get married and raise a family? ?????? - Jimka44
I doubt he would live in one of those areas or be anywhere near them... |

Hey snobby boy, ALL of the SW burbs are a great place to raise kids...you only mention many of the north burbs. Before putting your fo ot in the mouth, know that Naperville has been ranked number one kid friendly community in the NATION. And it is not in the north burbs.
- ToewsFatherNLaw
Immediate west suburbs are just fine too. Carlos Zambrano lived within a mile of me at one point for a few years, he and his family didn't seem to have trouble living here. Except, of course, when Carlos' wife found out he had an affair with his stylist at the nearby salon |

Tandem cycling is training for keeping teammates in step. You know rythm. It's very important for cyclers to keep in step with each othe during events.
So yes it is acceptable. - scorerstouch
Perfect. This is what I wanted to know, if there was some sort of underlying reason for it. Had absolutely nothing to do w/two dudes on the bike. It looked funny, but I've seen far more interesting stuff.
Thank you. I will send a snickers bar your way. Reg, Almond or Peanut Butter? |

No beat down (at least from me). I don't agree with the lessening of the sentence but I see the reasoning for the appeal. You're completely right, bringing in Shana-ban was supposed to help regulate the punishments, all he did was mess everything up more. There is no consistency. - al_blog
If I'm not mistaken, the original 25 game suspension was issued to cover all possible playoff games, if the 'yotes went to the finals. Since they were bumped early, and the suspension was to linger into next season, it was reevaluated.
Not saying I agree with the decision, I don't...but that had something to do with it. |

Turns out I might not have a blog up today. Anticipated Parise signing but it sounds like we may have to wait until tomorrow.

Not that anyone cares, and it may have been mentioned, but Bryce Salvador got a 3 year deal to stay with the Devils. I guess he got tired of waiting for Suter to set the bar for defenders.

They have Critical Mass here (and a lot of big cities) the last Friday of every month. These clowns get on bicycles and gum up traffic. Used to see a bunch of dudes riding naked, but as of late, I've noticed some ladies. Not all of them are ones you WANT to see, but I'd rather see holes than poles. |

According to Helene St. James, Detroit increased their offer to Suter up to 13yrs/$90M....Yikes!!!! I have a feeling he really is considering Chicago because if he wasn't, that contract from Detroit is a no-brainer. |

Here's some nonsense. You can be naked in San Francisco, so long as you're not in the presence of children. You can urinate in public, but it is illegal to turn left at most major intersections. I can buy weed down the street with a medical card, but there's no off track betting. I like it here, have great friends, but dayam they have their priorities a little off. |

Dowtown Chicago is one of the safer places I have ever been. Random violence doesn't occur on a consistent basis. If you go to areas that are known for it, that's where you find trouble. That's a really asinine comment for the Canuck doosh to make, but par for the course I suppose. |

Not a place for me without OTB's...
Guess they figure gambling will kill you faster than pissing in public, smoking weed, turning left and going without cloths....Not sure I agree.

Seriously. When I moved out here I was looking for a place to wager on the Derby and I couldn't find anything. Finally called my local City Supervisor (alderman) and he informed me that OTB's were illegal and if I wanted to wager, I needed to go to the track. |
