JJ You live in South Barrington? I used to bartend at Penny Road Pub 15 years ago or so.... - UnnamedSource
My nephew's band rocked that place last weekend. I grew up near Sutton Rd. and 62.

all of the sudden the news is eerily quiet. - furso27
Apparently, JJ may have pointed this out some time ago that Ryan idolized his uncle Gary.
These signing should be mutually exclusive from one another and at the very least, Suter should have signed by now.
Unless there may be some traction to the, they both will sign here theory |

My info. is the Suter family got the Hawks back into the running late Monday/early Tues. |

[somequote=hawkfan79]Let the mid to late 90s Blackhawks D pairing COLLIDE!!!
Somewhere Christian Rutuu is waving his stick in the air while Noonan and Matteau eat nachos (like they did as healthy scratches in the second balcony). Memories...
Sign em up Stanley...lets go! |

I disagree, how many 5+ Mil Dmen can we have. Remember, Suter played with Weber for most of his career. He's a great Dman but I just cant see him being worth 100+ mill contract.
I would much rather have Parise and spend the Suter money on a goalie and a tough dman. |

HS, the club needs TEAM defense. The club needs compete level. The club needs energy. The club needs people with captain like work ethic. The club needs a culture change!!!
Parise fills more holes than any player available or not, followed closely by Doan.

Nelli i noticed some typos in JJ's blog you should really really point them out and take issue with him ![:?](https://hbcf.s3.amazonaws.com/images/emoticons/confused.gif) - molly2522
I'd actually be quite surprised that you could "notice" anything of the sort.
But to play along, at least JJ spells our players names correctly and uses proper grammar and punctuation so his blogs are enjoyable and easy to read.
Please learn from that eh? |

It's eerily quiet right now because Suter is somewhere over Benton Harbor, MI according to flight tracker that someone on here posted earlier. If you hear about a 7pm EST news conference in Detroit, then you know it's the Winged Wheel he chose. |

A top line of Parise Toews Kane would be deadly. |

Anyone tired of the Suter and Parise watches? I need some beer and an area with zero internet access before I burn up my data plan refreshing non stop.
This is driving me insane. Hawks become clear cut favorites with both added to win the cup. Hawks become LEGIT cup contenders with either.
These guys have earned the right to take their time. They have fiances, familys, and god knows what else going on. Relationships with fans, relationships with teammates, and organizations. IT's a tough spot to be in.
Fact is the NHL has spoiled us as usually in the 1st hour guys decided ASAP and by now we are pining for the John Scott signings....

Yeah I would rather have parise, too. I haven't read all these pages, but what are people saying about getting under the cap? I'm still in the trade kane camp to get some good, young players and get some cap room. Also include hammer and dump frolik. Dumping bickell and stalberg won't get you a lot of room - tomcat24
Why not keep hammer and trade Oduya.
Hammer is what we need for penalty kill |

Yep..............This roster and Q's handling of it has turned a Norris Trophy winner into a blubbering mess the last 2 years, and he's lined up with Seabs.
Get the puck into the other end and keep it there! Parise is a guy who will make the defense better.

I'm just saying if I had to pick one. We already have Keith and Seabs as our #1 and #2 making $5+ Mil each. We don't need a $7 MIl to 3 D.
But we do need some leadership, work ethic, tough, skilled top 6. He might be small but he is tough to play against. |
