trade for a top 6 winger
sign semin
sign mueller
sign huslieus (sp)
trade for nash

and the most likely thing, do nothing and sit and wait for july 9th for doan

I get what you mean by replacing Sullivan on the PP, but we also had our best player on the bench in the playoffs on the PP. Figure it out with 4 forwards. Crosby replacing Sullivan.

Who plays the point? They tried Crosby there in the postseason and he was constantly out of position and the PP was disaster with him there. That's how he ended up on the bench.

Maybe some time to work him back in on the point and he's ok there?

Assuming they can stay healthy.

Everyone knows these contracts will not be played out. Both Players will retire before they are completed and since they are under 35, the cap and money come off the books. I am happy the wild got better, A LOT better today! Hope to see the young guns up in the next few years and then we might be able to contend.

Yes, if the Martin + is Malkin.

Right. It will help with him going through a full training camp. Ideally there is no other set point man if you are moving.

Also have to feel for Poile today. Its one thing to lose a guy because you cant pay him. Its quite another for a player who played in the same place his whole career decided he just didnt want to play there any more. Has to be tough.

Got to give to get. We've only seen small glimpses of Despres and although he looks like a good player with top 4 potential, he's still an unknown. Umberger is a good player. Proven player. You're not going to get him for table scraps. Jackets are going to want NHL ready players.

Strait OR Lovejoy are NHL material IMO...Jeffrey and Tangradi have some potential. That's probably the most I'd give up for Umberger...maybe throw in a pick.

Despres is a keeper, trust me...

so enough about players we wont get and free agency isnt where the pens thrive in...

And that's why people are upset. Misguided anger at Parise and the organization imo. Nobody was forced to read the hype and nobody made any promises. If people choose to get their hopes up because of idiots like the hockeyy insiderr it's their own fault.

I reall thought he was coming, don't get me wrong. But I thought that because of the situation offered and thus was not upset when he went somewhere else, again, I think it was a bad hockey decision for him.
