To be honest, I am so relieved! Imagine being saddled with both of those contracts in addition to Crosby's. It concerned me on what would have happened with Geno next year. I'll take Malkin over Parise any day of the week.

I'd rather make a run at Weber. I'm not sure if he'd extend a contract or not, but I think getting him here for a year would allow him to see what type of 1st class organization we have here in Pittsburgh.

Sid still needs a winger though. I agree with others here that Oshie would be a good fit. I like Doan, but with Jagr and Whitney getting above 4 million, I'd assume Doan would be looking for about 5 million per year.

Get rid of Martin now. No reason to keep him around. I'd rather see the young guys get into the mix and get the experience they need at this level.

Until you have a solid replacement for Martin, you don't trade him now. I will wait for the solid replacement we have that is ready. Don't say Morrow either.
