OK, imagine this fairly realistic scenario. You want to play with your best friend on a team that has a good chance at the cup(us). However your lovely wif says you could be close to home and family in Minnisota. This is what I imagine could be happening. Just trying to keep it real. Since I am married and have heard my wife with her move back to her home town spiel. - powerhouse

OR, hey after I am done we can move back to Minny. Honestly, I have been far more successful here than I ever would have been in Ohio. Have 2 clinics and a great reputation. There is always time for family. How many chances to win the cup, just saying. |

Parise won't make decision until late tomorrow if at all, and he wont tell the host how many teams he is considering. |

Kind of agree. The things I learned from that interview though:
1. No decision until late tomorrow if at all (Gym in the morning and with family all day)
2. Good friends with Suter and said he'd love to play with him.
3. Says Captains have contacted him, but haven't been aggressive.
4. Avoided to talk about Terms and cash invovled, Teams, and Devil's money situation.
So basically a bunch of nothing except he likes Suter and probably another 24 hrs without a decision. |

You know what's strange? This roster is full of holes. We only have two good starting pitchers and maybe three good to decent bats in the lineup and the Bucs are eight games over .500 for the first time since 1992?

Wasn't going to say anything during Parise watch but the freaking Bucs are 8 games over .500. 20 years or so since that has happened. AMac is now leading the league in hitting .360. And they came back from 6-2 down. WTF!!!!!! Let's go Emm Effing Pirates.
Drew sutton...are you kidding me, what a find! Best offense in June??????? Holy Sh4T the world is going to end.
OBTW Phillies are now 10 games under hahahahaha. |

Hockeyy Insiderr @HockeyyInsiderr
Trying to dig out a rumor on #NHLDucks talking with another western conference team for Bobby Ryan. Hearing "blockbuster" if it happens.
Hockeyy Insiderr @HockeyyInsiderr
Update on Bobby Ryan. #Sabres still front runners. #Flyers #Leafs #Habs also interested plus hearing 1 more team jumping in BIG TIME.
Hockeyy Insiderr @HockeyyInsiderr
No word now on other parties involved in discussions, but #BlackHawks and #NHLDucks are talking about possible Ryan for Kane swap.
C.B. @NHLSourcesSay
@HockeyyInsiderr I'm hearing the exact same my friend, it's just a simple waiting game now. Parise #Penguins Suter #RedWings |

This guy has some of the worst agents I've ever seen. Maybe they're good at negotiating his contract, but it's also their duty to not make your client look like a douche bag.
Early in the game, when they realized this will take some time, they should have released this statement "Zach would sincerely like to thank everybody for their interest in his career and he asks that everybody understand this decision could take some time. No time frame is set."
Then you don't let him talk to anybody. No statements, no reporters....nothing
If they'd done those simple steps. Nobody would be thinking he's an indecisive drama queen.
Agents should give back a percent or two just for tarnishing his reputation.

I completely disagree. It is fully in his rights to take his time to make the choice that he feels is the best for him and his fiance. (frank) what we and the media think we don't really matter in this choice, which to date is probably the biggest choice of his life.
Just because we as fans want to know and the media want to be the guys who break the story first it doesn't mean that he owes us an answer.
I know the arguments are that he could have thought about it all season and made his choice at some time, but I think that perhaps he was more focused on playing then what will happen later. He had made it very clear at the start of the season that he didn't want it to be a distraction so he probably didn't think about it. |

Will you feel this way if he doesn't sign in Pittsburgh ? He's handled this poorly regardless of where he signs. |

If I were Shero, tomorrow end of day would be my deadline... You can't let a player drag it further than it has to be and jeopardize other possible signings. Obviously there is some kind of deal trying to be had if a team(probably Minny) can get both players |

I almost feel that neither Suter or Parise want to be the first guy to sign simply because the next guy will have the remaining teams panic and possibly up their offers for fear of coming up empty.
These two guys are gumming up the trade market as well because, the sellers will wait for exactly the same reasons. You don't want to trade a high profile guy now. You want to wait 'till some of these teams come up empty. It's really remarkable. Not sure I remember seeing anything like this in years past, but I'm very sure agents and players are taking note.

We keep hearing that the delay is contract details.... maybe they want no trade clauses or some form of, but its starting to get out of hand. I do want Parise on the Pens, but I will be just as happy to have the space to resign Letang and Malkin without the pressure. I agree that the agents are taking note and doing just about as much as possible to squeeze every dime out of this as possible. |

I can't lie, if he signs somewhere I will be disappointed other than that I don't care. It's his life and his choice.
As a fan who watched the Chris Pronger fiasco play out in Edmonton where he signed for 5 years and after one season he and his wife decided that Edmonton wasn't good enough for him I don't want to see Parise end up in in a similar situation in Pittsburgh.
I don't get how he has handled this poorly, he is handling it as he see's fit. He has received the offers he knows where the teams stand and now he wants to find out where his fiance stands on it.
He owes us and the media nothing. |

I don't think that is how you handle it with a player of Parise's calibre. It's one thing to yank the deal when you are dealing with a 41 year old money grubber, it's another thing when you are dealing with one of the top forwards in the game. |

The drama I would say is the media and talent starving teams... Parise and Suter are just employees that are in demand. |
