Can't wait for Diaz or Weber to replace Markov once he goes down
- Symba007

St-Denis is more NHL ready than Weber (whom will never be), IMO. I hope he'll get some ice time next year.

Patience will be the key with this team but remember that almost the entire fan base was ready to dump Plekanec for a bag of pucks and he rebounded quite nicely before signing his deal.
- Ultimate Cyberhabs

agreed, I have no problem with the team as it is, they are rebuilding, it will take time. Habs can't commit to long term deals to UFA's at the moment, they have to let deals with Kaberle/Gomez expire and the young guys come in.

And the other replaces Kaberle when we trade him for 2 firsts at the deadline?

Hey guys, a moment of respect, Andy Griffith, a television legend who starred in two iconic series that debuted a quarter-century apart, has died. He was 86.

The last time Weber played a "full" season was 2009-2010 in the AHL. Since then, he spent most of his time on the Habs' 4th line with the occasional game as a dman. Hard to get seasoning.

Not the same work ethic.

True but with a new coaching staff and at least the appearance of a new team philosophy, he has the potential to bounce back.

Weber is 23yrs old, St-denis is 26. I am not a fan of Weber but where was St-Denis at 23?

Weber just plainly sucks. He has no place in the NHL.

But he has also not done enough with the opportunities he's been given to warrant more ice time. Diaz showed some interesting signs of progression and like someone posted earlier, St. Denis has shown that he is more NHL ready than Weber IMO.

Why would it be relevant? St-Denis is a better dman than Weber, PINNE BARRE

Diaz is also 26yrs old...

As far I am concerned, all 3 should be in the AHL.

This.

I'm not ready to give up completely on Weber....

This being said, he cannot help the Habs if he plays like last year.

As rumoured, Suter will get a 13 year deal, now it just looks like where it will be.

- JDJ

Not sure how but as good as Suter is.....he's terribly overrated IMHO. Whomever signs him for 13 years will be disappointed. Very good player but certainly not the star that he is going to be paid like.

Weber has not shown any improvement IMO. Maybe he will be a late bloomer but at this point, does it really matter?

St. Denis seems like a decent 7th d or someone who can log a lot of Air Miles with call ups in case of injuries.

And it tells a lot if a dman cannot even crack the top 6 on a last place team.

I think Diaz has passed Weber on the ladder, but I think Weber still has some value.

Blame the market and GM/Owners, don't blame the player for taking the money and running.

Doesn't panic with the puck and plays a simple defensive game. Never said blue chip all star either, but more serviceable than Weber IMO.
