How is it rediculous?

How exactly?

Other than the (frank)ing pathetic media generated frenzy over wanting announcements now now now now now so they can be the first to break the story - what exactly is ridiculous.

Is there a special deadline that I am not aware of? Does training camp open soon in the next few days?

No.

So explain to me exactly why on any rational level this is ridiculous... you know, other than perhaps the fact that you have a sore finger from hitting refresh on twitter all day waiting to see what happens.

Considering how ecstatic they were about getting Tangay back, sounds troublesome no?
- eihcnerf

Tanguay actually scored 70pts for them after that.

Yes, his value is currently at an all-time low. BG and PG had the habit to trade the players during that time. Hopefully, Bergevin understands the "buy low, sell high" motto and gives him a chance to redeem himself at least a little.

Maybe it's also the reason why we're hearing of Patrick Kane. "Talented, but had a bad season, a cokehead, always drunk" That would be the time to move for him, no? Fuck, the guy's 21 years old, he'll get more mature and get his poop straight.

- _nay_

Or he will get a russian coke mafia connection from Akots / Skots, which will lead to a very special edition of L'antichambre, bringing back special guest Jaques Demers to cry for a whole hour, with remote live cut aways of Patrice Brisbois crying in his Porsche in the Hamilton Bulldog arena parking lot.

And cost the habs way more then he is worth to acquire. Not a center. And small. A douchebag on top of it, a la Cammi, that went well.
- eihcnerf

Yes, he cost way more than he is worth because Cammalleri's value was at an all-time low. Thanks for proving my point.

Yeah but then again Kane is actually worth investing a couple of years to see what happens with the player. Who gives a (frank) about Bourque? Even if he turns out better than last season, he's still a plug. We'll get a 2nd round pick for him and move on.

I would take Kane any day of the week. At 21, he has a bad season and still gets over 60 pts.

Totally.

Plus, the coke in Montreal is really top notch.

Jokes aside, even after a bad season i doubt CHI would trade him away on the cheap. They'd have to be 100% certain that he's gonna bust for this to happen.

Yes, let's wait a couple of years so he has a 35g-45a season and isn't be on the market anymore or costs the double than what he costs now.

Yes, the Habs would have to give a pretty package, but a less important package than 2 years ago. It's a gamble, and I'd do it.

The Hawks would ask too much, and it would turn into a Kessle fiasco.

No thanks.

Uhmm, you missed the point entirely, not surprised. Kane is a bad idea, for two reasons, well cause he is a douchebag for one, just got rid of the last douche. And do you really think the habs can acquire him without giving up what little prospects they have been able to put together thus far? Cause they will be emptying the prospects to appease Fefans like yourself who are never happy with a long term plans, and need to be contenders right away. On top of that Kane doesnt make them a contender.

Depends on the package. Eller and Beaulieu would be a start.

And I don't consider Kane as a short term plan, he's 21.

And you're the biggest (frank)ing whiner in here, so GFY with your fefans stories.

Where did I say Bergevin should give the farm and 3 1st rounders for Kane? I only said that right now, his value is at an all-time low, so MAYBE he could be on the market for less than his real worth. We just never know.
