I dont get the hate-on you guys have for this kid. He's improving year after year, has shown he has the tools (hands, shot, overall skills) to play and produce in this league and is a *GASP* big center.

Might i remind ya'll his icetime is on the 3rd line and on the PK (and he's pretty good at it)? Not exactly the best position to produce.

- PRICEless

He was doomed the day he was trade for Halak. People expected a game-breaker on day 1. The kid is gonna be fine. The team has much bigger concerns.

He's a Habs homer, right?
- hscesq

Those are some pretty funny statements. Seriously, two all-star appearances (wasn't one of them the Montreal "lets vote everyone in" campaign"? Weren't there some absolute jokers voted in, or nearly so, that year), over two Vezina finalists?

you have to admit.....

Cause he is too soft for the bottom 6 and doesn't produce consistently enough for the top 6, i do not see this changing, and i believe this is just about where he will stay the rest of his career.
- eihcnerf

And he has played how often in the top 6?

Oh c'mon, imagine where the habs would be with Kreider instead of Leblanc.

Would have been yet another montreal riot.

BTW, people here are very upset about losing Prust. For whatever that's worth.

- hscesq

I suspect we'll like him. Even if he is overpaid.

The same thing happened 2 years ago when Halak "took" the no.1 spot.

This is not news, but Apron has to do something with his time.

- Oilhab

Sacha sent me a text over the weekend about something Apron tweeted. Sacha called him Oprah. I laughed. Lots.

Yeah. Point is, you won't win many games with a 1.36 goal support, no matter what team you play for.

Oh yeah Kreider and his whopping 0 Regular Season games would've put us in the playoffs last year.

Buy a Prust jersey. Wear it to work. Tucked in.

Report back and let us know how it went.

The first one was the vote fiasco...Komisarek, etc. Total joke. But I think he made two more if I am not mistaken. The guy has proven very little on the NHL level other than those appearances. But I do think the caliber of team and team defense specifically plays a part in the stats.

Yeah, all 4 of them over the last 5 or 6 years. COMPLETELY DESTROYING THE FRANCHISE!
- Pecafan Fan

In the last 4-5 years, they stopped that poop. Good for them, and look at all the decent prospects and kids we have not seen in years.

The original question asked was why the Wings kept getting stars in the draft... well, because when guys like Zetter and Dats were picked, the Habs were picking guys like Eric Chouinard.

And hence my answer.

Price > Rinne > Lundqvist > Quick

LA would have won the cup in 4 games with Price.

Weren't we moaning about this in here all season?

I heard somewhere that in 25 (not confirmed) of his losses Montreal scored 1 or 0 goals. Seems like a tough way to win games.

- 3M

Yup. Habs were scoring in spurts. Scoring 8 goals against the Red Wings and the next day getting shutout by the Blue Jackets at home.

He could always pull a Max and say he wants to play with the bulldogs until he is given top 6 minutes.
