Do you think they will trade for a top six foward.

Rene Bourque is our top 6 winger for Plek.

Rinne is a good goalie.

Like the habs, the preds relied on him and their star dmen to make the playoffs every year.

- hon_hon_hon

That brings up another point. Rinne's had Weber, Suter, Blum, Franson, Ellis, Boullion, Gill and more infront of him. Price? Diaz, Yannick Weber, Subban (not so defensively sound yet) M.A Bergeron ( ) Campoli and many more awful defenders. He has had Gorges and Markov though.

As rumoured, Suter will get a 13 year deal, now it just looks like where it will be.

That would surprise me.

Bergevin is certainly taking care of business. Time will tell how it translates on the ice but I have to say, so far so good.

Now Price has Boullion.

Can someone please tell me WTF Rinne has done in this league? As far as I'm concerned, Price is more accomplished than him. (3 All Star games) Rinne has no hardware at all, not as many All star appearances but yet its considered a gamble because he's paid as much as him.
- Gator26

While I agree Price is a Heck of a Goalie, Rinne has better numbers and Price made the all star game more because Nashville has Weber and Suter whereas Montreal doesn't have that typ of skill in their lineup. Every team has in one way or another at least one representative, and while I'm not saying Price didn't deserve the All Star games the reason Rinne never made it is because the Predators already had 3 attendees.

I'm not holding my breath, but the guy has had 2 back-to-back 27-goal seasons before last year. We never know, he could start to give a (frank) and play like a legit top 6 player on a 15th team in the Conference.

«Et il y a aussi un joueur comme Rene Bourque qui a marqué 27 buts il y a deux ans. S'il retrouve cette forme-là, ça ferait de lui un joueur qui évoluerait dans un des deux premiers trios.»

They will give him a chance, hard to trade a guy like him when his value is so low, might as well see what he can do with a healthy Gionta and Plek.

Teams should not tie themselves to players for so long. In the event things go sour, it can become a big problem.

It's the only way to make significant savings on the cap hit.

Shane Doan est joueur autonome. Dis-moi, @DenisCoderre, que dirais-tu si le Canadien lui faisait une offre?

Okay, well you can't argue against Price's Calder Cup victory with Hamilton, or against his WJC Gold medal, agaisnt Rinne's 2nd place in the NHL 13 cover vote.

Bourque is an inconsistant floater.

We all knew we were getting Andrei Kostitsyn 2.0 when they traded for him.

Patience will be the key with this team but remember that almost the entire fan base was ready to dump Plekanec for a bag of pucks and he rebounded quite nicely before signing his deal.

That is why we should sign a 12 year deal with Subban right now.

Do you really want to sign a 35+ guys to a 4-5 year contract at over $5M per year?

He is not leaving the 'Yotes anyways, unless there is an implosion.
