That is because the draft bad Quebec born players who are mediocre at best more than anything.

Yeah, all 4 of them over the last 5 or 6 years. COMPLETELY DESTROYING THE FRANCHISE!

Eller either plays well this year and steps up or else he becomes, well, Eller.
- eihcnerf

I dont get the hate-on you guys have for this kid. He's improving year after year, has shown he has the tools (hands, shot, overall skills) to play and produce in this league and is a *GASP* big center.

Might i remind ya'll his icetime is on the 3rd line and on the PK (and he's pretty good at it)? Not exactly the best position to produce.

I believe he couldn't train a lot last summer because of a shoulder operation.

If he got bigger/stronger this summer, he should have a bigger impact.

Arpon Basu ‏@ArponBasu

Did a bit of research on Carey Price's season: In his 28 reg. losses, he had a 3.15 GAA, #Habs scored an average of 1.36 goals per game

- QuebecPride

Weren't we moaning about this in here all season?

I heard somewhere that in 25 (not confirmed) of his losses Montreal scored 1 or 0 goals. Seems like a tough way to win games.

Don't bother. The only way to convince them is on the ice.

Cause he is too soft for the bottom 6 and doesn't produce consistently enough for the top 6, i do not see this changing, and i believe this is just about where he will stay the rest of his career.

The same thing happened 2 years ago when Halak "took" the no.1 spot.

This is not news, but Apron has to do something with his time.

Eller is big, and a centre, but he's not the "big centre" the team is lacking.

You just wait.

BTW, people here are very upset about losing Prust. For whatever that's worth.
