With the cap being so high, even having Gomez's cap hit doesn't hurt... There are no players willing to play here that they could spend Gomez's money on anyway.

Ive been following Pateryn since the Grabovski trade, and have watched Ellis play many times in the Q. Bennett Ive only read up on.

Ellis will be an NHLer in 2-3 years tops 4th D. Bennett is a project who might see NHL time in 3-4 years, and Pateryn is a very slowly developping player who may or may not see NHL time in 3-4 years. None of these I consider A1 prospects on par with guys like Beaulieu and Tinordi.

See im a leafs fan and I consider guys like Blacker, D'Amigo and Holzer "B1" prospects and they are as close to the NHL as Beaulieu and Tinordi with arguably similar potentials. (not even getting into that one)
