im thinking semin would be about 5.5/yr which would only be acceptable if he stays here for all 3 years
- qcstudios

I'd pass on that every day... he is too much of a liability to leave.. his laziness is more than well documented.. and his stats have been inflated due to playing with Ovie and Backstrom most of his career.

People have said he has the same skill as Ovie just not the work ethic or dedication to the game... he sounds kind of like Vanek.

he's a winger...90% at left wing

so...depth on the left: vanek, foligno, leino, ott

depth on the right side: pominville, stafford, ???, kaleta

depth down the middle: ennis, hodgson, ???, mcmuscle

love the idea of trading for chris stewart, fills in 3rd line rw

barring a trade for a true #1 center, i still say add more veteran leadership with arnott anchoring the third line

ott, with two of kaleta, gerbe, scott, mcmuscle on the fourth...

I'd assume he's playing in Rochester or Europe this coming season?
- dadeadhead

Darcy said he is am NHL defenseman and McNabb is slated to start in Roch....I hope we move one or two D because i cant see him in Roch again, he's too good.

If Parise signs with the Penguins long term front loaded contract, would that make Malkin expendable? Spending ~27.4 on just 3 forwards is pretty risky. If 1,2.. or even all 3 of them are injured, then what? They don't have Staal anymore.

still don think they got Ott to put him on the 4th line, he is much more valuable than that.

Well the Sabres can just put him on a certain "list" that I can't htink of the name of right now.. but i think it basically means they won't be held for his salary..

but what I don't understand is that all of the years Radulov was gone... it technically counted as years off his contract.. or did the Preds pay him his salary?

I just feel like we might pressure Grigorenko to come up too fast.. I just would rather him start the year in the AHL and we can go from there...

- JVince11

I think Grigorenko can't play in the AHL this year. It's either the Sabres or the Ramparts of the QMJHL (with the same 10 game pro limit Myers had). Anyone back me up on that?

Pardy's last few seasons have been 36, 30, 57, and 60 Games played.. doesn't look like we got the healthiest of them all...

i think a trade in the d-corps will make McNabb able to come up early on.

it's a better situation than having a bottom-six playing a top-six role...

i like that kind of depth

Them not having Staal anymore is what makes Malkin even less expendable (if one could consider the league MVP ever expendable...).

I think so too... i think that Brodeur chirping in his ear about coming back to NJ is weighing on him...

Maybe Parise surprises the sh!t out of everyone and signs a 2-3 year deal in NJ..?

Oh goody, then we can have this whole saga again then!!!!

Looking at his body of work... he is a straight defensive guy so his scoring stats mean nothing like Regehr's..

but for being a 6'4 220 lb D-men I like that aspect..

It looks like over the course of his NHL career... each season he has atleast 10-20 more hits than games played.. so atleast he does throw the body when he is playing.. and it looks like he always has had same or more blocked shots as games played. Not a bad depth guy with NHL experience to have in case of injury.

I must say, you guys entertained me last night. I decided to sit back for the most part, but the after hours on here made it easy to work that last 8 hour shift before I head back to NY

side note, why are you guys so angry?
