i dont really know if anyone is blaming him. i certainly didn't get that impression.

the only impression i've ever got about roy is that he appears to have off the ice issues that at times appear to effect his desire to play for buffalo. he had worn out his welcome, for lack of a better term.

anything more is just reading too much into it IMO

unless i missed someone directly stating "roy is the reason we didn't make the playoffs"

i always got the impression most people "blamed" a combination of injuries and many players under performing.

Wow quite the night. Only thing topping this is if Obama blames the economy on Roy.

Personally the diving got it for me. I hated it and even though he didn't do it as much recently the refs had his number and even when he was slashed tripped or whatever he was never gonna get a call. His antics hurt the team. I'm glad he's gone. Will his offensive stats be replaced? I think so.

The consensus here is that Steve Ott is such a physical imposing player that they are going to win the Stanley Cup via forfeits. We have become a mean and nasty team to play against. John Scott, Kaleta, McCormick, Steve Ott.... (frank)in old time hockey.

And Vanek is going to score like 65 goals this year because Roy was his problem and now that the cancer has been removed from the team, Vanek will win league MVP.
