I kinda think Texting sources is just Homie D Clown or someone on here everyday. IAMNOTA TROLL and him only pop up when there is a big deal happening, ie Trade Deadline or Free Agent Day. Who ever he is, hilarious and makes this site more entertaining.

But I kinda think Texting is onto something. Why wait to see if TyMy can grow into a fierce and rugged dman, when we can simply buy one during Free Agency (with Terry Dollars) and send him on his merry way. Its not like he's gonna get a new personality anytime soon and go all Chara on the opposition.

He's just TOO nice of a dude, like Pommer. Great guys, but when Lucic runs Millsie, I want Weber/Suter to be there. Just because Ty My is tall, doesn't mean he's gonna be the next Pronger.

Based on your logic, history shows that a 3rd line center like Jordan Staal doesnt net you a very good player in Brandon Sutter and a top 10 pick. Not too many people wanted the 60 point center Roy. Otherwise he woud have been traded at the draft.

I wouldnt be opposed to trading Myers, hes regressed.

Pronger was dirty as hell. Id prefer Myers to get mean but stay clean with it.

Staal isn't a good example. Impending UFA. Would only re-sign in Carolina. Pitt did pretty well considering the circumstances.

The point is that you could look at Roy as a 60-70 point player or look at Staal as a 3rd line center and base their value that way. Or you could look at what they really are Staal a top 6 player and Roy a party boy locker room cancer

Not exactly. Weber is from Pitt and when he was 15 he went to Canada to play hockey and he lived with Ott's family. Now they train together in the off seasons.
