With getting Ott you might think one of Cody or Kaleta might be gone if that is possible. |

He got a whiff that something was about to happen. But he didnt have specifics. Couldnt say with certainty. As far as im concerned thats not breaking anything at all, and you shouldnt be trying to claim credit for it. - theblueandgold

The intangibles that Steve Ott brings outweigh any type of offensive output Roy may offer. And getting Roy out of the dressing room makes Buffalo the winner in this trade.
Ott's hitting, fighting, leadership, toughness and 40 points a year vs. Roy's...umm...uhh....60+ points a year. Yeah. I'll take Ott 100 times out of 100. - Powerslave
You have it all wrong, Steve Ott got 40 points once. Thats like me claiming id take all 80 points of Roy, because he did it once.
Get ready for more PK's too. The guy racks up the Roughing, Charging penalties.
Ott is a great 3rd line C. Love the physicality. But now we just created a hole in our offense -- scoring. |

Can you tell me anything about this Pardy guy?
You won't like Pardy much at all. He was always out of position on this team and Kari Lehtonen had to bail him out numerous times every game. He won't provide much offense and will look lost a lot. He was sent down to the AHL for the last couple months of the season and Dallas went with young guys instead. He's going to be a big liability if he's anyone above the seventh/eighth guy on the defensive depth chart. - metzeric
He's going to be in Rochester. I don't see how there would be room for him on Buffalo's roster anyway. The Rochester roster has plenty of space on it. |

Once Ott puts on the blue and gold, and starts hitting everyone in sight, you'll be fine, LJ!

Not even worried about Pardy on this team they can bury his contract in Rochester. |

Did you forget what happened when Roy was out for awhile this team played better and was winning. Stop worrying about scoring for Roy. Roy isn't that great. |

If it means that Lindy won't have Vanek on the same line as Roy, I don't care. That's addition by subtraction no matter how you look at it. |

Ott is great on the draw, way tougher as we all know, wore a letter in Dallas, hits a ton and..wait for it, wait for it....averaged .53 points per game last year to Roy's .55......how is this not a great move? |

Foligno - Ennis - Stafford for a full year.
Pretty sure that will help.

He's making it hard for the Jackets to move him. - SABRES 89
It's called a no-trade for a reason. Often the teams throw it in to cut the price down a little. They didn't have to give it. He doesn't have to waive it. |

Maybe now that Roy is gone, you'll come back to earth and understand that Vanek's problem is not Roy and never was Roy. Its Vanek. |

I am just so excited because with all of these NHL ready dmen coupled with what Darcy said at the recent Roy/Ott presser when he is usally tight lipped , you have to think that trades are not even close to being done.
Me...myself...I also believe there will be a big 3 way deal involving the Sabres.

frank - HAMgerber
Yeah it does...
Out... Vanek, Hodgson, sekera, Enroth
In... Nash, getzlaf, foligno
And we'd still have PLENTY of room |
