we will see - jerryl1964
Parise has gone home to mull over the decision, buit it is not clear he is going to Pittsbuyrgh, Minnesota, Buffalo or staying in NJ. |

Nash is a primadonna?
Why because hes played on a poopty franchise for his entire career where hes the only superstar? - theblueandgold
He's making it hard for the Jackets to move him. |

In theory, this trade is an underpayment. A guy like Derek Roy should fetch more than Steve Ott and Adam Pardy, but on a team with issues like the Sabres have, and his off ice reputation, you have to live with it. The Sabres aren't cup contenders all of a sudden with this move. |

There is no way we are done. We have like 11 NHL ready Dmen right now, and there is no way we go into camp with all of them. We will be making another trade! We have to! |

WGR said the Sabres called them off air to correct them and told them to call him a wing, not a center. - Homer
If not 3rd line center,
I'm trying to figure out where he fits?
Do we possibly have a taker for Leino? |

Be mad at me Saturday night I got a call that Nik Antropov was in Buffalo, he checked in Saturday morning. Didn't say why just that he was in Buffalo, I got called out on it NOT BY YOU but by a few others. If I wanted to start talking "trash" and if it wan't true, why would I just pull Antropov's name out? out of all the guys why would I pick him? I tried to explain this to some but didn't work. I know who Homer;s source is and it's about as dead on as you can get. This post is nothing againt you kind sir just wanted to point something out. - SABRES 89
I don't know why people can't just take the info that's being given and appreciate it. If it happens, great. If it doesn't, who cares? It's something to talk about and it keeps things interesting around here, especially during the offseason. I take everything with a grain of salt.

He got a whiff that something was about to happen. But he didnt have specifics. Couldnt say with certainty. As far as im concerned thats not breaking anything at all, and you shouldnt be trying to claim credit for it. |

Anaheim never wanted Roy; they want Hodgson or Ennis.
Listen to what Darcy said....he wants a center and a winger;
They still have some offers out in free agency...Parise, Doan, Jokinen and Semin.
Lots of talk about a 3 way deal with Anaheim and Columbus....take it for what it is worth, but I think that somehow someway Buffalo will be getting Nick Foligno, once all the dominos are down. - RicoMartin
How many 3rd line wingers do we need though? |

Everyone makes out Roy like he some super stud. The guy is a decent player but no one wanted him. I'm glad he's gone. Remember when he was out Buffalo actually played better without him. |

Not really. He doesnt have a NTC for 3 seasons. The team is being generous to him by trying to trade him to a team that he wants to go to.
The team legally can trade him anywhere. They dont need his approval. |

The intangibles that Steve Ott brings outweigh any type of offensive output Roy may offer. And getting Roy out of the dressing room makes Buffalo the winner in this trade.
Ott's hitting, fighting, leadership, toughness and 40 points a year vs. Roy's...umm...uhh....60+ points a year. Yeah. I'll take Ott 100 times out of 100.

from buffalowins com a writer from dallas was asked
Can you tell me anything about this Pardy guy?
You won't like Pardy much at all. He was always out of position on this team and Kari Lehtonen had to bail him out numerous times every game. He won't provide much offense and will look lost a lot. He was sent down to the AHL for the last couple months of the season and Dallas went with young guys instead. He's going to be a big liability if he's anyone above the seventh/eighth guy on the defensive depth chart. |
