I happened to look at TSN's transaction page and noted this:
Winnipeg - Jason King Signed
Would that happen to be the same Jason King that was a one hit wonder here in Van? Thought concussions ended his career.

So of the tough guys that we discussed about a month back, all seemed to be out of our reach now.
Kenopka to MIN
Carkner to NYI
Downie re-upped in COL
Ott to BUF
Is there anyone left? - AlexF
The first 2 are not good hockey players, I wouldn't have them in the lineup unless we play the Bruins again and the last 2 were highly unlikely. I want toughness that can play and Kostopoulos and Bradley are still out there. The Hawks signed a better version of Carkner, Sheldon Brookbank would have been a decent 6/7 d-man. |

How many careers has the twins benefited!? Crazy when you think about it. They could moonlight as agents. |

they have a lot of centres I agree. I personally always thought Jokinen would be better on the wing. And having him is insurance if Ennis/Hodgson can't handle the 1st line. Ott is a great 3rd liner, maybe 2nd (thats a stretch)
I'm pretty stoked on Buffalo. Hope they don't get Joker. But I can see some logic behind it |

Can confirm #Sabres are looking to deal one of their d-men. Sekera is on the block. Ehrhoff will only go IF deal makes sense. #NHLDucks
Hockeyy Insiderr@HockeyyInsiderr
#Sabres source mentioned Ehrhoff is VERY unlikely to be moved. But #NHLDucks are trying hard.

MT @reporterchris: Jason Garrison's deal has an odd structure: $5.5 million next season followed by $6.5M, $5M, $4.5M, $3.6M and $2.5M.

very odd to go higher on the first few years with the sedans and burrows up. But I guess that doesn't matter in terms of cap |

Cap is really the only thing that matters for teams that are raking it in. |

Smar move by Gillis, his cap hit will be high during the last 2 years but if MG needs to move him then a team that needs to get to cap floor will definitely be interested because the actual dollar amount is lower. |

East, Ryan Suter will be a Red Wing. If Parise signs with the Wild, I was told Suter will follow him there. Interesting.
Hearing a few sources say Suter to Wings.

Interesting. If the two of them go as a package that would make any team they land with infinitely better. |

I like Konopka. Always does well on faceoffs, tough player, and had a good playoffs with Ottawa.
I would have offered Boyes 1M as well.
Not sure who is still out there we would actually want. I think Gillis needs to look at adding players to the Luo deal and see if he can get a better return that way. |

With the Boyes contract in mind, offering similar to Huse would make sense for Vancouver. Dumping Ballard would easily give us oodles of space for Doan still.
I like the idea of grabbing TomKom for a cheap 4th liner, Bradley I noticed a bit when he played in Washington, was never bad but never an omg why is this guy a 4th liner good.
