Gaunce Jensen Lack and maybe Mallet should be ready within two years. |

Pinzotto re-signed. I don't like the idea of chasing down all the same 4rth liners than didnt work out... they tried for Glass as well. These are all the guys that AV chose instead of veteran NHL talent that Gillis was bringing in for that role. |

Pinzotto could just be the back up plan! Gilles might get something better once the crazy stuff is done.
I hope he gets something better! |

Agreed!
I'm hoping MG has offered Tom Kostopolous and Matt Bradley contracts. |

I thought TB signed Lindback but capgeek still shows him as an RFA? If this is the case, TB still has no legit goalie under contract for this season. |

The Coyotes have re-signed Alexandre Bolduc to a 1-yr deal
Thank God otherwise Gillis would go after him too |

I remember him as the guy who always got injured when we called him up from the Moose. |

That's the guy. Didn't he injure his shoulder taking a faceoff? |

I hate having Hulder in our division for shootout reasons. He is a crazy faced killer in those shootouts.

I'm hoping Weise isn't on the team. I like the guy, but we need some legit 4th liners.
Matt Bradley: 6'3 210 Pounds, had 134 hits and 3 goals and 5 assists in basically half a season with the Panthers. He's usually a lock every season for about 2 hits per game and 5-7 goals on the 4th line. Has scored 9 and 10 goals before.
Tom Kostopoulos: 6'0 200 Pounds, a little smaller but he's gritty and not afraid to drop the gloves. 124 hits in 81 games last year to go along with 4 goals and 8 assists. Has scored at least 7 goals in 7 different seasons.
Both guys have decent playoff numbers as well. |

With 5 mil in cap space and no decission yet on Lu or Ballard and taking a run at Doan I see the team putting the 4 th line on hold for a bit. Can't forget the Raymond arbitration either. I see a left winger or two being moved soon. |

What about Eric Tangradi from the Pens, RFA, hasn't really been able to crack their lineup, but put up good numbers in jr and AHL about 1.75 hits/game. Is there something in our system that would entice Pit to trade him? |

I loved both Weise and Ebbett last year. Ebbett had 5 goals (including 2 in OT) in 18 games. Weise had 9 majors. That is some promising grit and scoring on the fourth line.

So you'd rather have a small skilled guy that isn't good enough for the top 6 and a guy who dropped the glove and is usually the one getting his ass kicked? I'd rather have 2 gritty guys on Lappy's wings that can hit, fight and both chip in with around 10-12 goals combined at just a little higher of a cap hit.
Don't get me wrong, I actually like Ebbet but he's a perfect 13th forward since he can play all forward positions on any line. He's not a good regular 4th liner. |

He had the nack of getting a big goal when needed in his small sample size and thats mostly it...he a Pinzotto were always injured. I'd like some more size as well...but I say every year, it's ALL about foot speed and little else with AV and our bottom six.

Kristian huselius would be a solid addition if he would sign for cheap and 1 year. He is a great playmaker for the second line if he's healthy |

I look at it as a small skilled guy who was on pace for 20 goals with an average of 9min of ice time a game, that's pretty good if you ask me...especially since he delievered in OT.
With Weise...beyond winning or losing fights, I thought he was physical and decent defensively. He was fifth on the team in hits... |

Throughout his career he's been known as a first half player. Starts the season on fire and then is invisible during the second half and playoffs.
You want him???
Not to mention that it completely takes us out of the running for Doan. |
