A #1 goalie would do wonders for this team.
- weirdoh

yes im not disputing that but the have many holes goalie is the largest imo then size in the top 6 then grit in the bottom 6.

defensively who knows maybe to many offensive guys this year as is

All I am saying is (frank) the vets play the kids

Disagree I think Brodeur and Luongo in front of this defense and forwards would lose their lustre.

You can't blame goalies when there are open shooters tapping in at the far post.

Sure ech one had some bad games but that team mailed in most games in front of them.. even under Carlyle..

- DoctorNHL

Think so? Maybe you're right. I think Luongoal would help them out quite a bit though. Though I'm sure we won't find out.

The Leafs already have Grabovski and he is a VERY good number 2 centre. Now, JVR is definatley going to get a crack to play centre, I Guarentee this. If he doesnt stick there, putting Kadri Bozak or Colbourne between Say Kessel and JVT is not a big deal. Personally, I think Kadri is such a good play maker that he may be exactly what Kessel needs. Plus, I really do believe that Bozak has improved greatly in every year hes been in the league. Only problem with him is people want a "name" guy. Fact: Bozy played superior to dozens of
"name" guys last year.

- Jimmy_T

Bozak could be a piece traded for a #1C.

I'm sorry but name dropping bozak or Kadri as no.1 center to me is laughable.

We need to learn our lesson. Bozak is a great (but small) number 3 center.

Kadri needs to show he belongs before anyone labels him as a number 1 center in the NHL.

- Lee Denault

No, I am sorry. For thinking you were capable of a little critical thinking. Whatever you want a "name" and if you don't get one, youre gonna cry. Oh well. There are people who will understand what I meant.

Agreed and thinking it will come from the Marlies is out right lies on his part.. although he might be forced into playing someone like Colbourne

Burke tells the players everything and gets their input in all deals before he makes them I guess.

Just like he did with the Gus trade

@Eklund. I wasn't trying to do anything more than kill a rumor. Leafs aren't in every deal even tho the rumor mills churns them out daily.

How do you think I saw so many games he played? I am sorry, I know this won't be a popular sentiment, beacuse everyone the Leafs have is garbage and everyone they could get but dont is Lemieux, but Kessel is one of the best players in the NHL. There are other reasons, but just for one, Phil Kessel doesnt have a player like Kovalchuck who takes all of the best Defensive players off of him like Parise does, and he still put up more points.

Kessel > Parise and I don't even see how its debatable. Phil Kessel is THAT good.

- Jimmy_T

dude, no he isn't. Parise is a complete player, Kessel plays 1 end of the ice.

I could admit that Kessel is a more gifted offensive player, and has a better shot, but then the stats even refute this too.

Oh ya, and Parise has actually scored over 40G in a season, and over 90 pts...

Just check the stats alone man.

From Burke's words too sounds like he doesn't intend on adding anybody else in the back end except some kids from the minors.

He's not a household name among Leafs nation. He came up and played 1 game. He's a great story. Bounced around the AHL.
