There is no way those proposed trades work. I've talked with and looked at Strome and they say he is Gagner 2.0 so there's no sense in that. Burke already drastically changed this team a few years ago in order to rebuild. There's no way he's going to re-re start a rebuild. I like the mentality but dude, have some faith that Burke is doing the right thing. He's restocked the cupboard with some great talent and all we really need now is to wait and see who fits where. Time will only tell.

Im saying like if things dont work out and say burke gets fired, might as well blow up the team and start again and it all starts by trading our top players for first rounders to teams like columbus or islanders so we can draft Mackinnon and acquire some of their prospects.

Which we will never acquire, wanna know why? Because we dont have a strong pool of prospects or the assets on this leaf team to acquire them.

I think we will suck enough to get another draft lottery pick. If a team like the Islanders wins the 1st overall pick they will be more then willing to trade it because they don't need another 1C - Tavares/Strome. Which means we can trade our pick and some defense - they actually lack a mobile/offensive dman, to get our number 1C. Nate MacKinnon.

We have virtually the same team we sucked with last year. NO #1C NO Starting goalie and we're still as soft as microwaved butter, we haven't done anything to address these needsand unless we do we're stuck in the same place that we've been in for the last 8 years

What so we're missing a Franchise prospect on forward soo we should blow up the team because of it? Good thing you aren't a GM in the NHL. It takes time to build a contending team it doesn't happen overnight bud.

Like I said we are missing two intergral pieces for this team and getting Luongo is a strong possibility and that almost guarantees us a playoff spot, there's no need to blow up this team

Oh God, don't even talk about Lu. Guys a mental case in Vancouver, what makes you think he can play in HOCKEY UNIVERSE? With Carlyles system we will make it easier on goalies to play unlike Wilson's system where we left goalies out to dry. Since we're on the subject of goalies and you talk about developing prospects what about Reimer and Scrivens?

Take for instince the L.A Kings. Did they sign a veteran goalie when Quick was playing bad? No, he was developing - like Reimer and Scrivens are. Now Quick has a cup ring and so does L.A, do you think if they brought in a veteran it would have helped? Probably not. This year we will have a Reimer/Scrivens tandem and from that we will be able to figure out who is our legit goalie of the future. Bringing in Lu would screw this rebuild so much. Let alone that stupid (frank) ass contract. Don't want him or his stupidity in Toronto.

They drafted Reinhart who at the very least will be a shutdown dman. They need an offensive defenceman now and that it what they will be looking for. I think Franson, Percy and our 1st would get us the 1st overall. Pure speculation though.
