Bob McKenzie said that Florida is putting something together to acquire Luongo. If that's the case and they don't trade Markstrom as part of that deal, the Leafs should be trying to take Markstrom off their hands. It probably wouldn't come cheap but Markstrom is the type of goalie that has a very bright future that the Leafs would be very wise to acquire.
Think of it as the opposite of what they did with Tuukka Rask. |

Dave Poulin said we'd be surprised at what Centers the Leafs are targeting. Dude on the NHL network (not sure of his name) said it could be one of Valterri Filppula/Patrick Marleau or Paul Stastny. He believes the Leafs will put together a package for one of these players and also said if Burke does trade for a Center It'll be from the Western Conference.  |
